| The Gatehouse had Thwaites Liberation on last night love it - I've only ever had it in bottles before.
Also sampled Galbraith's Mr G's Luncheon Ale (from New Zealand) in the Old Angel.

| Signed off at the festival yesterday with ...
Anker Gouden Carolus Ambrio 8.0%
Purkmistr Bohemian Schwarzbier 4.8%
(in the Red Lion)
White Horse Volunds Hammer 5.0%
Butcombe Old Vic 4.2%
(in the Gatehouse)
not a bad drink among them - did manage a pint of the Carolus Ambrio but in two half pint glasses (they're not allowed to sell it in pint glasses).

| Sampled two very nice pale ales at the Arkwright Arms in Ducky, namely Cathedral Lindum Pale Ale and Oldershaw Caskade.; both definitely worthy of attention.

| Finally got my hands on the GBG and had the good fortune to find the Horse and Groom at Linby in Notts. Strangely, I'm grateful not for the beer but for one of the best chip butties I've ever had. Was in Donny last weekend, so had a couple in the Corner Pin, two excellently kept pints, Bateman's XXXB and Brakspear's Oxford Gold. Stout/porter a bit thin on the ground lately at the Bluecoat ( something I hope I've rectified for tomorrow ) so have been sampling some golden beers, the best ones of which were sampled today, Derventio's Venus and the ever-reliable Saltaire's Golden Republika.
It's a hard life

| Looking forward to a couple of pints in Sheffield this evening. Will no doubt venture into the Lloyds Bar near to the City Hall (slight distraction from the drinking - Alice Cooper to see).

| And if you come to the away game at Blackpool Panthers in 2010 best option currently is Ramsden Arms near Blackpool North rail station.
Today was Leyden Black Pudding, Burton Bridge Golden Delicious, and Beartown Bearskinfull. All excellent!!

The Sheffield Waterworks Company (to give it it's full name). Had three very enjoyable drinks;
Tom Woods Scarecrow Bitter 4.0 and
Daleside Morocco Ale 5.5
(before the gig)
Thornbridge Lord Marples 4.0
(afterwards)
Missed the Morocco Ale at the festival so was pleased that was on. Best of the three but wouldn't put anyone off any of them.

| Problem sorted at the Bluecoat and how! The peachy Ossett Treacle Stout. Had a fairly average Brew Company Primeus (?) Stout and a very nice Thornbridge Hark at the Arkwright followed up by a couple of quaffable pints of Triple XB at the Parish Oven, Thorpe Salvin yesterday.

I've had one or two decent brews from the Cottage Brewery (usually named with a railway theme).
Sorry to hear about the computer - how much time do you get at the library, is it two hours per day?

| Today it's been a rather bitter-tasting stout, Elland Nocturne and the seasonal
