Turning point was Kez for his speed of play, Lee for his effort and great gee-ing up of team and crowd and some immense work from Waller.

Also thought Spiers had best game to date.

With regards Dennis whilst his high ball confidence is poor - not sure why so many don't seem to rate him.

All other parts of his game are top notch, tackles hard, puts a shift in up for the forwards, makes great breaks and he knows where the try line is.

The first 20 I think York through everything at us, but with 10 mins to go and still some chance of something from game, they just imploded, I would be very disappointed if I was coach and fans for that.

My two penneth. Full credit to York for having a proper good go in that opening exchange, we were out played, out enthused and they deserved that lead. Fully agreed about the turning point, or to put it better the tipping point

was the assualt on Kyle. And thats why I give him my MOM. Not many could have played on afterwards or would have wanted too in some sports. My admiration for Paul Cooke is up there with most of us but his yellow card last night topped it all. He was'nt going to allow us to get bullied when it got rough and it was if he was saying pick on my lads pick on me. Loved his try when he used Mark Castle as the biggest dummy ever (no offence Mark)

. There is IMO a team spirit at the Dons that is first class and the effort to get on top (eventually) was splendid. Unfortunatley cannot be there on Sunday and hope it goes well and we give the Eagles or who should be renamed the Cuckoo's(having no nest of their own)

This team seem to be getting through games on team spirit and its really enjoyable to watch. The passion is written all over the faces of some. Lee & Kes changed the game when they came on they got everyone going although as said its a shame it took Kes being dropped on his face to lift us. Dennis had his best game to date as did Russ. Didn't see us in the game at all during the first 20 so well done to the whole team for digging deep and winning that one.

I think I am going to stop providing Geoff with cannon fodder.

The average home attendance for that season at Meadow Court was 965

I know that Geoff sometimes has a point about falling attendances but it is not just the dons.Its every other club in the country.The recent final at Wembley is another example.Peoples circumstances change.There are a lot more people who work unsociable hours/shifts nowadays and more importantly there isnt much money about for some folk.

Also the main thing that revs me up is that if you would have said at the start of the season that the lads would finish 6th in the league with forty odd points no one would believe it (see the thread from early season). This on the back of a great season last year. But Geoff still sees reason to moan and groan about it. Cant we have some credit where its due please. The only time you seem to contribute to the forum is to moan about the game , the club or supporters.

It works out as our best finish in the second tier for several seasons, and to finish 6th, behind what most would agree are the 'established' clubs at this level, is a fantastic thing, especially given that we had a serious struggle at the beginning of the season.

Also, in terms of scoring, we've only scored more points in a season twice since 2002, and both times we won the playoffs, and although, this is the 5th worst defensive effort we've put in since then, we're only at a -15 points difference, which is impressive, to say that we've lost 13 games, and no other team is as close to a neutral difference as us.
