I think what Paul is saying is, there will always be an excuse from some people. I personally would prefer not to watch the Dons there, but not enough to actually stop watching them...others may feel more strongly

As far as i can see other than the Keepmoat it is the only other option in Donny. I've been there a few times and it's a good venue to watch rugby. If anyone out there hasn't been to watch the Dons since they left Tattersield then i can hardly think they could be classed as a fan anymore. I just think there would be such a better atmosphere in a smaller ground and help to make games more of an event and therefore boost crowds.

Been once to castle park and must admit i found it to be a decent ground, as Rupert bear said the food was good , and atmosphere was good. But as said in a previous post as the Dons are contracted to the keepmoat i would think it's a non starter anyway.

Donny vs Barrow last season was between two out of the top three sides.
This year between two of the bottom sides ... Nuff said.
Whitehaven a poor fourth last season have done a better job ... won eleven.

Richard the point I was making was that people make excuses for not going . Jemmo was right , I did say earlier Stainforth , belle Vue & now the Keepmoat .

As a large proportion of supporters were in the concession class the prices became too high.
The inconsistency and poor standard of officials drove supporters away.
Scrums are just a joke nowdays and don't seem to serve any purpose except for taking 12 men out of the game.
Too many rule changes year by year.
For any supporters who are unemployed there should be a reduction if they show proof.

If the proposed changes by the RFL go ahead in 2015 the plan is for the teams in the league below SL to go full time, the two teams relegated from the SL will given parachute payments.
This as been proposed by the RFL so the team or teams winning promotion to the SL in 2016 can slot straight in to the SL.
So it would be more beneficial for the Dons to continue playing at the Keepmoat at least in the short term.
