Day one complete

Just got an update, the walkers have completed 30 miles today... they are in the hotel and ready for some relaxation time. Exceptional work and a massive well done







They have informed me that they did the mileage at 54 miles to Rochdale but it is infact 57 miles to the ground.

Yes ... well done, that's a fair old walk in one day.

A massive up hill effort...good team work by walkers and back up team, some well earned beers and deep heat tonight!

The walkers are on the home straight today, the supporters bus will be meeting them 1 mile from the ground, so if anyone wants to get off the bus and do the last mile with them and give them the support for the last stretch of this massive walk then please do. I am sure the walkers would love to have people supporting them into the ground.

Rumours are that Steve Prescott will be in attendance at the ground but he is carrying an injury, but is hoping to greet the brave guys and gals.

Again a massive well done to the walkers and the support team.

She looked fresh as a daisy in the ground, whilst everyone else was walking like Douglas Bader!

Just to add my thanks for everyones support, to my fellow walkers and Yvonne & Sharon. It was a hard slog at times but was a really good weekend. The weather was great, there was some really amazing scenary, one really impressive blister, good company and a real good laugh. The Moon Unit & Dweezil discussion will always put a smile on my face. A good win made a perfect end to a fantastic few days.

A great weekend had by all.Some lovely walking weather and hopefully a couple of grand raised for our 2 charities.

The stiff legs are ok now just got the sunburnt nose and neck to still sort out.
