Well, for me he has stuck Carr in for his goal kicking.
I think that Sheriff epitomises Donny with his grit and determination, so I would not leave him out, particularly since he stood out versus Gloucester.
So unless he is injured, that is a blunder.

The fact is injuries aside, now is NOT the time to fanny about with the side. Hunslet are the most serious challenge in this league thus far.

Got to agree that bringing in a D/R halfback can only be forced by Howden not being right.
I told you so springs to mind. We are in bother without settled halfbacks.
Playing an injured Howden was, and is, CRACKERS!

This seems like a serious mistake by the bookies. Dons -8 10/11 seems like a very good bet indeed.

I'd be giving Hunslet at least a 16 point start if I was pricing the game up at 10/11.

That would mean leaving out Wray & Zac .

I think GT may well go for Wray instead of Miller or Wright .

My guess is that GT will leave Ryan Wright out, put Wray on from the start and have Keiran Cross on the bench.

Wray is only a baby ... that is a fair old gamble.
We can't risk an untried pairing from the start surely?
I think that halfbacks should play for 80 mins.
That is Miller and Cross.
I would give him a go only if things are going tits up or we are well up.
This is not the game for fannying about, unless the kid is brilliant!

I concur and am a player even conceding 10.

Only seen Wray in per season games, in which he impressed, very good kicking game, issue is experience and size as he is only 18/19, saying that Radford must think he can cope or he wouldn't send him.

With GT's general reluctance to use DR, I'm only guessing that he wants to use Jack Wray from the start otherwise I think he would have made do with the alternatives we've got from within.

With no Louis Sheriff in the squad we also look short on cover at full-back should Tom Carr not see the match through. Would he switch Jack Miller to full-back? I can only assume Louis is either injured or unavailable. What's happened to AJB?

Maybe Jack Wray isn't even an intended starter and he's just here to provide cover in the backs should one of the backs get injured before the start of the game as we haven't got any cover of our own?

Brad England has played at centre.
In the modern game it is unusual to have a back on the bench , unless it is someone like LW who could also play played 2nd row . Last season we picked 2 props ,1 2nd row & a hooker on the bench with Tonks hopefully fully fit Gt will revert to that formula .

Corey Hanson not mentioned recently either , taking a long time getting over his illness .

good to see Tonks name back on sheet, i would play England in centres he's strong with a great workrate, and a hard tackler

Did Wrays father play for Castleford? Unusual name if not the same family.

LS has been one of our best performers over the last 12months , not the quickest but an effective player and a firm fans favourite .
Hope to see him back in action next week !

I think Mason Tonks would have started off the season if he had been fit , had a tough time with injuries . He adds a bit of class to the team as does Charlie Martin.
