Well done Barrow .... there were clearly only three decent sides in this division and we weren't one of them.

Poor end to a poor season. Next season going to be even tougher Imo, this was the season to go up.

I never ever said this before in my whole Dons supporting life, but thank the firkin lord this season is over (and welcome back S/O,) Im really tempted to have a long and loud moan about todays game but as I wasnt there that would not be justifiable but looking at the score I think that says it all. I cant wait for the pathetic excuses from CH in the dugout, and the after match bull and dire reasons why we did not compete from GT. Lets all be frank now the coach is not the right man for the job, the team needs a big shake up, club doncaster and Carl need to sort this mess out, Im a big fan of Carls and I know he has "the Dons" engraved on his heart but its time to make big changes we have finished fourth in a league of six in reality and been thrashed by the teams above us most games. At this moment in time you could not give me a season ticket never mind sell me one. If we dont have a new coach and a better squad of players and club Doncaster dont show some serious intent then this fan of 33 yrs is no more.

I sincerely hope that you are wrong. It is however, easy to see why many will feel that way.

I don't think today's result came as a surprise to any of us. We've all known for quite a long time where we stand in this league. We're the fourth best team in the league, no better. Quite frankly it would have been unfair had we gone up as we don't deserve to.

With Toronto in the league next year and either Toulouse or Barrow in the mix coupled with Workington and Whitehaven, it's going to be extremely difficult to get promoted next season. Unless we sign a large number of seriously good players for next year, I'm saddened to say that it's going to be hard to get enthusiastic about our prospects for 2017.

Just got back believe it or not could have been different, at 10-6 down we had a purple patch bombed a couple of chances . Barrow got a controversial try when a grubber kick into the in goal area hit the ref and a Barrow player grounded it 18-6.

Barrow are a big strong side though , we hardly had the ball in the 2nd half We WERE DIRE. Discipline went & we were routed.

Thank god that's the last game .

League Weekly page 26 contains a quote from Carl Hall in reference to next season ... "We've got one or two other surprises which will convince people to buy a season ticket".

Not perceptive at all ... Carl said it in his last Dugout sketch, I just regurgitated it that's all.


He will be referring to a couple more midgets no doubt that will excite the crowd while shipping loads of points.

Apologies if I've got this wrong but wasn't our coach appointed on the basis that he understood RL at this level?

If that's the case, and coupled with the fact that everyone watching the team has been able to see exactly where the weaknesses have been all season, I think it's time to give up the job.

It's this continuous stream of vacuous comment with nothing concrete to demonstrate any desire to improve the situation that has got me and a many other hardcore supporters well and truly cheesed off this season.

Last season was grim but the nails are really starting to go into the coffin now.

At least we've had hope in the past but I fear this has gone.

Once again, the close season signings will show what the club's intentions are since we've now seen at first hand what is needed to get out of this crappy division.

Then why did you recruit smallish guys that can't defend the line against bigger blokes? Gary, next season it's going to be not just has hard but a lot HARDER!

Ive read GTs after match review of the game and Im absolutely devastated to hear hes a bit "UPSET" in the manor of which we were once again thrashed by a club above us in the league. My firkin heart bleeds for him, How does he think the cash paying supporters feel about the season that never was?. Taxi for Mr Thornton.
