| Have to agree with others slightly more positives than negatives today, however I have concerns in three areas,
1. We fall off/miss too many straight forward tackles.
2. We do not get up in the face of teams when we are defending a set.
3. We appear to lack ideas when we are within the opposition try line.
I felt we had much more basic grunt/go forward when we had the ball. We don't have to expect too score every time, but continuous pressure brings rewards.
Also think Jason Tali will be a crowd favourite especially when he can function for a full 80 mins (he was blowing quite hard for the last quarter of an hour).
Overall a happier punter than the last couple of weeks.

| Certainly an improvement today, but still a little short of where we need to be.
When the opposition plays the ball we appear to take a step forward and then wait for them to attack - more collective line-speed needed.
A settled half back pairing would obviously help with creativity but it seems unlikely that we'll get that for the foreseeable.
All that said, some decent individual performances today.

| It's nice to win and it's nice to win showing some form for a change.
Should you analyse a win critically?
Probably not, but here goes ....
A few observations ...
Tali looked to be settling in. I found the song from the choir amusing about him getting over the jet lag.
He is clearly not match fit, but what a prospect when he is.
Looking forward to his development.
The Delaney brothers were very effective for a first hit out in an unfamiliar side.
I liked the way Brad passed the ball like a little general confident in his ability.
He is very slight and got hammered once, but he got up and carried on well.
His brother made some good scooting runs one of which nearly got him a try.
So happy with those two.
Forward power was more evident.
The lads coming back made a big difference.
Tom Carr ... a top player, and it is no coincidence that our form came back when he returned.
Louis Sherriff ... what a talent and what a trier.
He showed he is not the fastest when he got that breakaway, but he never hesitated.
Backed up properly and that was a try, but no.
Give me thirteen Sherriffs in a side and there is no need for deputies
I was slightly miffed with Kesik for persisting in going down our right and getting nowhere, when clearly our left was a better option.
And then Kelly scored down the right.
That shut me up for a millisecond!
Kesik was very influential, more of the same please.
Negatives?
It, like recent games at home didn't pan out like a home game, we ended up defending again for long periods and there was only six points between the teams.
Sqeaky bum time was approaching until Tonks scored ...DOWN THE LEFT!
Apart from a few bits of artistry and effort giving us the win, there was nothing much to pick between the sides and this is with a much weakened NWC side.
Still a concern I would say.
It's moving in the right direction though.
A bit more nous and a better kicking game would help?
But that's me back in the fold.

| Think the delaneys are cousins. Half back is a very enthusiastic player. Made a big impact.
Always glad to see Tom Carr back on the pitch. Kesik created nearly everything certainly missed him. Deserved man of match for Mason although he made a few noticeable errors.
Looking forward to seeing tali progress even more.

| how did Dean go? For Hull's academy he has made breaks for fun, backing up breaks too and scoring plenty of tries. Is he going ok? Matching it physically?

He's got a good attitude and tries hard. The more he plays with this group of players, the better he'll become. He could really do with staying for a the next few weeks and continue playing at half-back. I'm sure he's finding it tougher physically at this level as there are some big players around who I'm sure will be targeting him.

| I agree about Reece Dean doing well , like to see him in the halves . We have Carr & Sherrif to play full back .
Could do with him for a month on loan also to play with Dellaney .
I would have given the mom to Kesik , Tonks & Carr pushing him close, several other decent performances.
