First off a deserved MOTM for Wilkinson, I would say I hope he keeps his place but at this rate I don't think we could replace him if we wanted to! Grant had a good game on his return from injury, it was also nice to see Chris Spurr back and Wilson continues to look like a good prospect to me. In other news what is going on with our injuries at the moment and how useless were the officials leaving Spaven in clear and obvious distress while play carried on around him? Hope him, Carbutt and any others that may have picked up injuries get better soon. There was a nice touch of class from Emmit as he made the ref stop play for one of their injured guys as the ref clearly had no clue.

Apart from a little spell in the first half when we seemed to switch off, the result never looked in doubt.The injuries have to be the main concern, we may need a helping hand from hull in the coming weeks.

I am sure we will get help from Hull, just as sure as I am a genius.

Sorry not sure about Wilson , tends to get knocked about a bit by the big forwards !

With regards to Wilson I don't think we have a choice, however I think he earns his place on merit anyway. Yes he's a little lightweight and can make mistakes compared to other forwards in this league but he is very young and still learning. Also he seems to have a good offload game and an understanding with Wilkinson. He'll only get bigger and better as time goes on and more game time will help with his development. Think if we keep hold of him he will be a very good prop in the not too distant future.

Hope you are right & comes on like Mike Kelly.

I'll freely admit in the past I was critical of Kelly and he failed to impress me, however this year I think he has been one of our best without question. Very impressed with him, just shows what can happen if you knuckle down and are willing to learn and work on your game.

What a lot of people don't realise is that this is Wilsons first season against men. He is bound to get nailed a little bit. In terms of game time he has only played against teams at under 19's level. Forwards tend to develop physically around 23. Look at Bowden, kent and even Green for Hull FC. It's generally easier for backs to breakthrough at a younger age. Although he gets knocked about a little bit he wins the floor a lot and has a great offload game. COYD!

Good post and the fact that the young lads from Hull have been signed by PC is a pretty good recommendation and under his guidance they will progress.

Well made point by jehull with regards to wilson . I have seen this lad play since he was a nipper along with wilkinson and starling . I must say he just keeps getting better and better as do the other two lads mentioned . He was I the hull fc u19 squad last year and captain . He seemed to stand out from most of the team and always gives it his all . Give the kid a break and let him develop . Obviously PC saw potential in him . He snapped him up before anyone else could get their hands on him when he left Hull

This just came up on the super league show - somehow the commentator confused Wilson for Spurr. What an embarrassment they don't even look alike. May be I'm bitter but I can't help but think more care would have been taken if he was commentating on our Super League brethren.
