Richard Whiting returns to the Hull squad (for the away fixture against Catalan Dragons), with Jacob Miller moving in the opposite direction to the Keepmoat. Dean Hadley is also selected in Lee Radford's initial 19.

Referee is a favourite of Bobbie Goulding and Paul March..

Apparently Waterman could be back (see above). Also read in the Freepress that Leaf and Cunningham could be in contention.

Not heard anything recently but surely not much longer for Nicklas? And do we have any idea of the result of Castle's scan?

I'm not sure about what Danny Nicklas has done, other than something to his knee..

I believe Danny Nicklas is out for the season, be interesting to see if he's kept on next season, not had the chance to see what he's capable of.

Team selection suggest Cookie isn't happy with their performance, both young and very fit so to rotate wouldn't make sense, I wonder if we may see these players seek regular action elsewhere.

No Whiting as he went to France with HFC but didn't play pity as he had a great game last week.

Dewsbury are big and physical, so Cooke perhaps thinks Wilko and Hodson haven't enough in defence.
I can't see their performances giving rise to concern in any other way, they have done well.
If he hasn't picked them it will be a one-off because of Pryce and Aizue et al.

Think to suggest they should find action elsewhere is rubbish.

Also Wilko has had regular action of late and judging by his previous interviews doesn't mind waiting for his chance. Plus correct me if I'm wrong but I think Hodson has played every joined so its hard to get more regular than that. While personally I think both players are defensively sound I think its more an issue with the tight pitch not really allowing them to play to their strengths. Dewsbury are a big side and these guys are small and nippy. Cooke probably just doesn't think this game is going to play to their strengths and is going with the physically strongest team available.

Don't confuse rugblyman with rugbyman (who would never say anything like that and is probably the Don's biggest supporter).

While i think Wilko is developing each week, you dont want to burn the young lad out. Hodson has scored some tries since returning, but as S/O stated Dewsbury are a big physical side and with the narrow pitch it seems Cookey has gone for more strength than speed.

I think my previous post was misundrstood, I think Wilko and Tom have both played well, and Cookie as commented about Dewsburys tight pitch previously, Miller is playing today so I suppose Wilko will feel unlucky to lose his place, however he still makes some mistakes which you expect from a youngster, and the only way you learn is from playing, my concern is as a club can we afford to have a squad big enough to bring through promising youngsters if we don't pay them contract money and only win or appearance money.

Well we haven't got the resources, like most clubs.
We can't keep anybody, like most clubs.
But Wilko has had every chance to develop and is doing so.
He could develop into something special, but then might leave.
Why worry?

Just got back from the rams.why did we pick miller clearly not interested,as the saying goes if it's no broken don't fix it? Hope russ is ok after the cheap shot.this did did rams loads of good cause they were knackered.
