I've got eight months left on this board. I'll admit, it'll not be the same when you've gone. I've been on the Leigh board but they're a strange lot. You have some good people on here - people who don't take things too seriously and the banter is top notch. I'm hoping the Wakey board will provide an adequate replacement.

Leigh folk have always been odd, im still trying to figure them out after several years with no success.

We have good people on this board, life has a lot of muppets and nasty people but you can find peace and banter on this board.

Wakey are poop, Vastman is argumentative but apart from that nothing else happens.

Im sure you can still find a way to add a score thread when were all at the match getting beat 60 nil by Wigan in our debut season.

We won because we were a much fitter side than the French. There were a few very notable performances though. I had Hecky as MOM. He did long stints on the pitch and was a real handful for Toulouse. I wish we had a couple more props like that. The amount of times Hecky was turning in the tackle ready to offload, and found no-one at all to pass to, is becoming a joke. We just don’t seem to have players who can be bothered supporting the play. They just stand around like a bunch of dopey s watching the one-man runs.

Other players also deserve a mention. Dave Allen was outstanding, when on the field. Both Netherton and K. Haggerty had good games. The young Haggy is a much improved player this season. I thought Danny Craven did well again and saved us conceding what looked like a certain try, with a good tackle. I’m sure he kicked a 40/20 too, but Ronnie clearly thought otherwise. I hope he isn’t badly injured, as he limped off and didn’t return.

The defence was, indeed, shocking – and not just in the . However, one in particular is absolutely hopeless. I am really disappointed in him. I won’t name him, but he’s 25 now, and should have mastered basic tackle technique. At one point he came out of the line and dove at the player with the ball, who didn’t move, and he still missed. He ended up on the floor while the Toulouse player nonchalantly strolled past him. It was laughable. He needs to spend a few weeks in the reserves getting some remedial coaching on tackle technique. Because, if he doesn’t sort himself out, he’ll be a ing liability. I had hoped his first game in the friendlies was a one off, but it is now clear that he has a major flaw in his game.

We really need to ing buck up, if we want to avoid wallowing around in mid-table again.

Just got of the phone to my media contact in Samoa, apparently the next superman film will star a Samoan, they want someone who can dive Through the air and have a good physique. Maybe ropati is after the role? Tyrer is lined up for superwoman.

I think people ought to give Toulouse some respect. They are Championship play-off contenders this season, no question.

There were weaknesses and several poor individual performances, which are being discussed. Whilst I’m sure that Toulouse are a decent side, they’ll struggle to get in the top 6 again imo. If we play as we did last Saturday, and certain players don’t buck up, we will struggle to beat the top four clubs in this division, which Toulouse are most certainly not one.

We stuck 22 unanswered points against them in the last 15 minutes and were scoring almost at will. Whether Toulouse are play off contenders or not, it doesn’t stop our players tackling properly, supporting breaks and it doesn’t necessarily make our kicking game poor.

These are genuine concerns.
