Tom Kelly,Houghton,Lawton,and a few others will make it if playing around better players fulltime.We have a talented halfback in the u16s.Nobody thought Myler would become a star and others will follow.Grady,Kelly,Lunt,Thompson,Houghton,and smith have done well this year in the first team.Mullaley playing well in reserves and has not been given a chance because of offield problems.

That's not strictly true... There were quite a few people that worked with him in the youth teams and they always believed that he had potential star quality. These people worked hard with him to nurture that talent and were upset that he turned his back so quickly on them and the club.

These same people have now spotted one or two more players that they are as equally excited about who they are confident will be making the step up.

Just on the topic of Holroyd. I think it would have been a decent signing for Widnes. I realise we have people coming back from injury but Holroyd is a decent player at this level with a good kicking game. The sort of player who could be rotated with an up and coming halfback and take some of the pressure away from Thacks...

Thankfully, I believe quite a few of the u16's have signed at Widnes including Tom Gilmore, who I understand was wanted by both Warrington and Saints. I would think the aim is to keep them at Widnes until the end of next year and see how the licence application decision goes. If we get in SL there's no reason for any of the youngsters to go anywhere.

Regarding Mullally, anyone any update on his 'situation'? PM me if you prefer as can understand it is a delicate situation.

What i meant mate is players are not known till abit later.For example Tom Gilmore,Hulme,Kelly,Mullaley could end up decent Superleague players.Not all youth players make it, but i think alot will end up at least half decent championship players.Hope we get a licence, otherwise all this youth set up will be a waste of money if they get picked up from us.

He's not good enough for SL but he may give you a decent season before you are artificially elevated to SL yoursleves.

Not sure if he'll be playing in our remaining match with you to be honest - he's got a poorly foot - long term injury. When do we play you? I will be expecting us to complete the double over the SL chicklings - possibly sending you nearer to relegation and in a bit of a panic. That would be a cracking end to the season wouldn't it?
