Widnes need a new team and a new coach, the support is there, the ground is there, but the main thing (team) isn't.

Awfully frustrating to watch, again played some great rugby in the early part of the game but failed to capitalise on it. Game turned just after Thacks slotted the penalty and we let that kick off bounce out.

Not sure what you expected but realistically i would say you want about 6 or 7 just to have a chance in this league. In SL to expect players playing for a mid table team to step up to SL is a big ask. Id say 3 or 4 at most would do ok.

The thing is though when you look at Cas and Hull KR when they got promoted, they kept a lot of their players and went on to do well. thats because they had successful players in this division, we havent. It doesn't matter to me about the 70 points we put against York, what matters to me and what concerns me is the 50 we got put past by Leigh. I know we are SL next year but we still have a full year of rigby to play. 2000 fans havent bought Season tickets for the sake of it, we want to see us winning. I was embarrassed watching that to be honest.

As a Leyther, obviously I reckon we played well - again. However, one of my big concerns, had I been a Vikings fan, would be what seems to be a distinct lack of fitness. I could be wrong, but the complete fade-out, in both games at Leigh, must be partly down to fitness? What do you guys think?

To be honest mate I think its down to us defending sh*te and the speed and skill of your attack being far superior to ours!

Get a decent coaching set up and a couple of class players and things will improve massively

I agree Alan and bad coaching as he swaps players who where playing well like Grady and Hecky.Plays Scully when not match fit and he should play more reserve games.Thackeray never a fullback and if not Flynn i would play classy Jack Owens out of the academy.Gerrard is not a standoff and Netherton is crap.Lunt is much better and should be ahead of Netherton.Sack Betts and bring in an experienced coach like Noble.
