Cullen played it down the middle tonight, but when it became apparent that Tampons, Watene, Maloney, Makali were too tough they had no other tactic as our classy backs were no match for yours.

Haggy was a pretty good player for 2 seasons down here in London,,Brian Mac got him in trim and he always gave 100% and made an impact most times he played..Do you reckon he isnt too happy with life in Widnes..a fall out with PC perhaps?

No, he's been one of the best players in the games he has played.

Not too disappointed tonight if I'm being honest. There was only missed kicks in it, we had a young under strength side and we missed Allen when he went off never to return. I thought Gannon, Grady and Farrell were the stand out players for us tonight and Davies had his best game yet. Thackeray, Kavanagh and Yates were disappointing, the latter has a lot of improving to do if he wants to be the future Widnes full back. Tackle of the match has to be Grady's on Tamghart, cleaned him out. Turning point in the game was when Grady hit the upright for the penalty, we really needed the ball back at that point in the game. Why we never put more bombs up for Halifax's back three in that swirling wind god only knows.

Haggerty is still good and hope he reads this board.Well i am not too bothered now, as i know we are better than fax.They are a good team, and we lost due to too many mistakes and penalties.Yates is not good enough at full back to be honest.Cant catch under the high ball.

We played very average today.

Your team has been average all season.We was below average and because you won you think your the best team.You got the rub of the green and you was lucky we have a bad fullback.2points is not a big win.A draw would have been a fair result.

Like everyone has said, we've still not pulled out of 1st gear.

we were baaaaaad, to many missed chances still not hitting top gear missed important kicks although the last one was a pearl. Your right about the average bit Faax still its early on in the season. 1st game lost for us thus far

Well we were both bad, we both made mistakes, we both had injuries throughout the squads and we came away with the win in a game that could have gone either way. No team should really be worried.

Like that one mate?Anyway nevermind i have calmed down now after our lost.We will be near the top come end of the season, and that is all that matters.

Not disappointed at all with that.. Considering the players we had out, (Smith was a big loss in that side) I thought we matched Fax with all their 'big' names.
It's all well them saying they haven't clicked yet but with those players you'd expect more. I thought the idea of ignoring the youth was to put out a side that would entertain an dominate. Can't see either happening for them. At least we're blooding some youngsters that are giving a good account of themselves.

In the end two games against top sides in five days was just a bit too much.

As a neutral, I was disappointed by the game. Had big expectations of a cracker between two of the best teams in the league and it appeared neither of them turned up tonight.

Lots of errors and not a lot of creativity (mainly down to neither team being able to settle into the game). Fax squeezed home but really neither side can claim much credit for tonight's performance.

A game best forgotten by everyone I reckon.

PS. While I applaud your support of the Everyman cause, that "surgical appliance pink" strip is a bit garish.

I would like to remember it for a shortwhile
