Gateshead beat Barrow tonight to move them above Leigh but both are level on points as are Batley. Fascinating last weekend in prospect.

Talk about tough, some fans are going to be heartbroken, the only give me is the Gateshead game so it's out of Batley and Leigh.

Id would guess that....

Gateshead will beat Donny
Fev v Batley, will at least be a bonus point for batley
Leigh v haven, Haven win

well i'm happy. we can still win the league. if Barrow dont get a bonus point, then we will only have to score 42 points against toulouse.

theres a lot of if's but its still a possibility.

It would make them look even more idiotic if they did that, surely they wont?


TBH Karl Harrison will have Batley ultra fired up and add to the fact that Handforth will be busting a gut i can see them getting a win at Fev who dont have the best home record going.


Haven are a tricky team and will be smarting after the pasting we gave them, Mcnally is always a thorn so it's all on for Leigh.

I quite fancy attending LSV to see the haven game what with our HUGE break between games and all

So do i, ill go dressed as Alan Shearer to blend in with the Haven folk and chant the only song they have 'Haven, Haven, Haven, Haven'

Leigh and Barrow wins by 13 points will see us finish 3rd.

The sad thing is if Batley and Ghead win also, Leigh will finish 9th if Toulouse lose at Fax , and will still go down.

This is a scandal , its happened to us , and no lessons have been learned by the Heartlands clubs .

In all honesty it all depends on how Haven turn up! If they go all for it at Leigh then it'll be bye bye Leythers... THERE IN A BAD SPOT! If they come with mind already on playoff's Leigh can win it!

There's not alot going for Leigh there 2nd bottom now and it's not in there own hands really... but let's hope they can do it for the sake of a decent loa game next season at least!

If they went down with Paul & Bibey on the books would they be able to make a squad? (I suppose a dual reg with Wigan would be on the cards to have the cheap youth {from both clubs} would see them right)! Batley beat ‘Fax not so long ago and with Harrison back on board (been away) they could turn Fev over or at least get a BP!

I think Batley will get a bonus point at Fev, although you can see Harrison having Batley proper fired up and a victory is not impossible. I don't think Leigh can afford to worry about Batley's game, they just have to go out, give their all and see what happens.

I remember prior to the start of the season Leigh opted to go with local youth and predicted a decent season. Sure some of the youngsters they have are very good but ultimately this has probably cost them. That and the fact that they bought an amateur (Ridyard) to play in such a key role.

I hope Leigh don't go down, but it looks very likely at the moment. They made a massive blunder in replacing Ned with Rowley, so probably deserve it.

Promotion and relegation really does give us all something to think about and fight for. It creates excitement, fear, misery and joy as all it unfolds. It's what sport should be all about. It's been a tight, unpredictable season, with several clubs being in a position to finish top and several bottom.

It's a pity SL cannot keep it. But, because the RFL need to safeguard certain clubs from likely oblivion should they take the drop, they need the licence system.
