The general concensus around the Club seems to be that if the Chase deal fails it won't be because of the Visa because they feel they can get over that it will be because every time they have gone back to Cas they have cranked the price up to almost ridivculous proportions!

Would certainly fit with the jist of Millward's ramblings.

Maybe Hull should do there own piece to the media in reply to Millwards nervous, slurrings on the radio t'other day.

Call there bluff, as I said earlier I really don't think Cas can afford to keep him.

The Lynn signing is suprising as we have some top quality 18-19 year old backs coming through.

Think probably a replacement for a few back up players like Morton, Hyde, tony who haven't played a game (or very few) at 19 he may be a project for the future to develop.

Heard similar stories to Wilf about Cas and their games around Chase. I don't understand them really as the only other options are an NRL club who won't pay a fee and them keeping him which isn't something Chase wants.

Who is to say that an Aussie club wouldn't pay a fee? It might be unusual but it wouldn't be impossible to imagine. Plus, if you were Chase, where would you rather play? I think he'd be happy to go down under, not too sure about his partner / little un.

I'd love to know who the other two halfback targets are. I'm assuming they're British or at least British based?

1. Chase will not go back to Oz unless deported as his GF won't go.

Very poor. Deceptively slow, awful defensively and poor decision maker. I had massive hopes for him but I've seen nothing to suggest he'll ever be even an average SL player.

or indeed can afford, the way Millward talks in todays Rugby Players about how good a player he would be in the Hull team smacks of him wanting the money to spend, trouble seems to be that Pearson won't put up with being fleeced and paying more than he feels a player is worth or indeed what he was quoted in the first place. They say they have a good fall back situation if it falls through we'll see! You can see Pearsons point its his money I guess!

I don't think we have one. I think it could be a case of signing a player in another position and shuffling. Not ideal. Only a rumour.

If Cas cut their noses to spite their faces then it's their loss. As a side in financial straits, they can't afford to knock back cash. What were Milward's comments Hfrom last week ?

Tbf the kid who told me has been pretty spot on up to now so who knows.

Looks like a bit of end game posturing by Cas to me, although clearly I will, like most non involved RL Fans be sorry when the whole Chase saga is concluded either way, since it has brought us hours of entertainment!

I have to agree though, if Cas dont move him on somewhere, they are going to have a big problem next season, both financially and morale wise.

Sadly I dont think Mr Millward has been himself since he suffered the awful family tragedy, some of his pundit comments at Challenge Cup games have been semi-coherent, so it is no great surprise if he is not making much sense at the moment on this issue!

It doesn't look as though there is a UK bidding war developing, which I think is the only thing that would play into Cas's hands!
