Agree re Gwilym Lloyd he is dire, I would say he past his best but he's never been good.

Always thought pre-season games were to give the first team a run out Results don’t matter the players must be disappointed they will not get some gametime

Maybe Hodgson wants to see who can fill in the gaps in the early season first team match day squad, if/when the need arises.

Some of your posts tend to make me wonder how long you’ve been around? The only pre season friendlies I can remember, where they were taken seriously was the Eva Hardaker cup derbies. All other pre season friendlies tend to be a mixture of up and comings with the odd first teamer. I remember Superman’s testimonial at Fev, it was diabolical considering so many FC fans travelled to it. Hodgson knows what he’s doing and I’m sure there’ll be a few more first team back for Leeds, next week.

Thought your young team showed a lot of guts and played well in the first half. Fash and Sao were the pick of the team, particularly Fash. When they were off you struggled a bit but that's to be expected.

Thanks, good to hear. Of our first choice 17 I think only Sao and Fash were playing so to be expected that we'd be on the wrong end of the scoreline. Hopefully a good runout for our youngsters and a chance for fringe players like Scott and Johnstone.

properly not. But they didn't have a bunch of kids playing for them. It was a run out for the young kids.

Not far off. We had our first choice fullback and scrum half missing and maybe a couple of forwards out. That's all.

It's hard for inexperienced kids to play versus fully grown men so there were a few lessons learnt today. They never gave up. Rutland could be a decent prospect.

It sounds mad as we lost by 42 but I'm pretty pleased with the result.

I only followed the game through the Twitter updates but we seemed to stick with them in the 1st half. Bradford seemed to have a purple patch at the start of the 2nd half that took the game away.

Considering the average age today was about 21 and Bradford will be pushing for a top 4 spot its a decent result/performance.

Sorry a loss is a loss no matter who Hull play we need to put out a team capable of winning

Hull need to develop a winning culture who ever they play friendly or no friendly

Better tell that to Kristian Woolf, his Saints team lost to Leigh last pre season.

I hope Brett has a successful career with Hull. Saint s already have a winning culture which the rest of super league are trying to follow

Some perspective is needed here , though.

Several of those lads shone against experienced campaigners, which will have done their confidence, and the coach's, a lot of good.

Brad Fash played and was very impressive, hardly a pointless exercise and also a nod to the guy who dropped a rather vital goal, at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium in 2005, I think it was, although, due to reasons which I am sure you'll appreciate, I have little memory of.
