People keep mentioning him and I've been banging on about him for months, but I don't know why we havnt signed Moore, or at least attempted, we were apparently in for Briggs but from the little I saw Moore looks a lot better half back. He could do a job with his kicking game alone which on the occasions I saw him was better then anyone at the club, he may want first team rugby but he would get decent game time here in my opinion.

He may not make the grade, but he obviously has pedigree and is improving each year, for such a low risk signing and how much of an asset a good long term British halfback could be in the future, especially with the tide possibly turning with Aussies coming over, seems a no brainer to me and would hate this to come back and haunt us.

I think moore would be worth a risk.We could sign him and then do what Leeds did with Hardaker.Loan him back to the club where he came from but have him train at Hull, if we suffer injurys in the halfbacks,recall him for cover.That would benifit both clubs.

Yep, that's if he didn't make an impact straight away, it makes sense on so many levels.

Very true, we could even have him on a dual contract for the next few years.

Scrum halfs are rarely able to guide their clubs around the park till mid 20's anyway.

I see Phelps as a last resort to be honest. If we don't have a signing or two completed by the end of the month, try and get him on a one year deal.

Been told today that no more signings to come in pre-season, we are going to run with what we've got, and if a player materialises during the season we'll have a look then.

Also heard that our proposed big signing for 2012 has opted to stay in the NRL, which puts us back to square one for next season and now we are in competition with 2 other clubs for a marquee half back.

To be fair this stupid obsession Hull fans have with signing a stop gap and bringing in a "marquee" or "world class" halfback from the NRL needs to stop, it won't happen, the best halfs don't come unless they are past there best, even more so now that tax loophole looks to have been closed, that's even before you consider the likes of Wire, Wigan, Saints, Hudds and Rovers possibly outbidding us in the unlikely event that someone did want to come to SL.

We need a decent mid to long term halfback, with a good kicking game who can get us around the park, talk of world class is a pipedream.

Good call on Yere, we need a centre and to be honest I'd rather we went for players like that who are unproven but with potential rather then someone solid like Phelps, if there isn't any quality players like this are better then panic buying, I hope we don't miss a trick with Moore either.
