As good as Willie is and has been for us he is no way a better player than Ellis. You do not get voted as player of the season for a team like Wests in the NRL (with the players they have) once unless you are pretty good let alone 3 years on the trot!!

Willie on his day can be a devastating player but he has also at times this season been pretty anonomous in some games.

Still gutted to see the guy leave for Saints as with him and Ellis together could and probably would have been a devastating force but to say he is better than Ellis is simply laughable.

Manu will be missed,but we have had his best years imo.

I think he's still good for another two years, he will do well at Saints.

Yep. There are certainly no signs that his career is winding down - he does a lot more minutes now than he used to in his first 2/3 seasons at Hull.

Saints signing Manu is (imo) the 2nd best Superleague signing for 2013 at the moment (after Ellis). They've also signed a pile of cack in Turner as a counterbalance.

Thats my feelings too, just got the inkling that somehing wont be right about his move and the way Saints will play

agree, its only a matter of time till he picks up his first major injury for a while and lets be fair whilst he may well keep himself very fit he is always growing older and the clock ticking on him, he has also played more game time than ever before which is bound to have taken a toll even if he does not realise it.

as with Turner whilst he had his best game for a while versus Hudds he has certainly been shart for much of this season and one i will not miss

I love Manu he's been outstanding for us but agree that he has had a large amount of quiet games this season.

Has anybody watched ellis this season,after a long term injury he came back for the last half dozen matches and might as well not bothered,and out of ellis and manu,ellis looks washed out not manu.!

You might well be right. Come next season we all will know one way or the other. You might also by the start of next season said something positive about Hull, on the other hand maybe not.

Manu is a great SL player, but would look no were near as good in the NRL.

Rovers best player, couldn't even get a get a game in a poor NRL team when he was there.
