It doesn't surprise me you are slating him as he has signed for Rovers yet are raving about feka and the bin man as great signings when neither has played at a good level for at least two years.

At the end of the day we were never going to find a player of a similar ilk to Dobson. Look how you have struggled in this area!!

So we've recruited a half with more of a running game with more organisation falling on the shoulders of Burns by the looks of it.

Decent triangle of players in Eden, Burns and Keating, certainly could be worse.

Which is why it is pointless you, Rupert and other Rovers fans coming on here, both think each others signings are poor and can use spin to say how good their own signings are.

Sad fact is, neither side have improved their team much and doubtful they will improve on last years position, both clubs need to get their youth players coming through, before they can use the salary cap to full effect (like Leeds and Wigan), AP certainly knows this and I would expect NH to thinking the same also.

If he continues with last seasons form and not the previous season, then you won't be far off wrong.

I've said I expect around 8th place again. People posting about finishing top 4 for Rovers are crazy in my eyes.

Rovers haven't won the league or made the final at Wembley since Gavin Miller played so by your "logic" on Keating maybe they should re-sign him

I'm a little more optimistic providing we can get somewhat of a full strength team out on the park each week,I'm hoping for 6th. But I think many teams are battling for the 6/7/8 place finish, including us.I ain't seen anybody predict us finishing 4th.

us, rovers, Catalans and Salford battling it out for 6th to 8th so one will miss out. Probably depends who has the least injuries and which squads gel the quickest

He did mate. He and Kasiano struggled for fitness all season and Graham missed the first dozen or so.

Not slating Keating, he's an ok player. Just a huge downgrade from Dobson. I don't rate Burns, never did in the NRL.

I've not raved about Feka or Talanoa, both could be very good or very bad signings, we won't know until they play.

I can't make my mind on Rovers, pack could be great or could end up being too old and slow? Pivots are ok and backs are average. I think you'll be around 7-9th.

Didn't see any NRL action this season after marvelling at the skills of Barba on the highlights shows on sky the previous season.

But just remember the headlines earlier in the year about him taking time out from the game to sort out personal issues. Take it he didn't take too long out then?

Missed the first few then played the next 15 or so. Was carrying an injury and then had a bad leg injury which which will keep him out of the start of the season.

Suppose it's difficult to see the results of either teams recruitment, until some competitive games have been played and we see how we shape up.

On the face of it a positive person would say about Hull's recruitment... Some real impact added to the pack that was missing last year, whilst putting faith in the youngsters that played so well. At the same time a negative person would say too much quality lost and too many gambles made.

On the face of it a positive person would say about Rovers recruitment... Some good quality NRL experience brought to the side and more mongrel in the pack. At the same time a negative person would say past it, injury prone players looking for their final payday.

It is likely that both teams will perform somewhere in between those. Whilst supporters of both sides will tend towards the more positive for their team and negative in respect of their hometown rivals... Who'd have thought it eh!

Difficult what to make of our squad for next season , A lot of gambles in recruitment which could be disasters or shrewd signings . For me still depends who we sign as our hb cover as we still lack quality in that area especially if Horney gets injured , Hoping a couple of our youngsters make impacts Lineham etc

I think saints will be the team to beat this year they was not to far away last season & have recruited well. I think it was just the half backs that let them down.

saints, wigan and hudds the teams to beat. leeds and wire in transition unless either announce some more signings.

Salford don't have the forwards to compete all season

Wont be far off with your top 3. If we win most of our home games and hopefully half a dozen or so away say against the lesser teams..cas/wakey/London been a couple were we dropped points last year we should hit around 30 points that should be enough to make the top 8 if not 6. imo.
