You missunderstand me, I personally want to get rid of Agar, however I heard a DOR was coming in and I posted my thoughts on it, it could turn out well if that is what AP is planning.
I do not recal a power struggle at Wire when Smith was appointed DOR ?

I know you think it could turn out well, I just don't understand why on earth you'd think that. Agar has clung onto a role at the club for nearly 7 years now despite all around him getting the chop, if he managed to do it again it would be little short of criminal IMO.

I haven't suggested there was a power struggle at Wire once. I'm pointing out that when J Sharpe was brought in to work with Agar it didn't go well at all because Agar wanted responsibility for everything, and it was a similar situation when Uncle Dennis was brought in... why would anyone think it would be different this time?

Your two examples are irrelevant both Sharpe & Dennis were brought in under Agar, a DOR would be above him, like Wire, there would be no power struggle as I am sure the DOR would say like it or lump it mate, or words to that effect



Hopefully none of it will happen though as Agar will be given his P45, however like I say if it does it may not be as bad as people think.

If Bomber was to come in as an advisor to help assess the players and coaching set up and oversee the Agar departure and subsequent employment of a new coach then i could live with that but it needs to be done now and not in the close season.

I commented that I didn't think it was intended as an attack although pointed out some of the language was OTT. He agreed and even apologised.

You mentioned ICM yesterday on a thread which had nothing to do with him so not in my opinion.

IMO the director of rugby role [ican[/i work, but the coach has to be on board with the idea to stand any chance. It could be a decent option for us to get more rugby sensibility into the running of the club.

I don't think that Agar should fit into plans either way, though, he's simply outstayed his welcome now.

Has there ever been an example of a DOR and a head coach working? You need to have one person in charge IMO.

I was willing to give him a chance, as were plenty of others. He's had it, and failed.

He might not have ever been the man we wanted, but he was welcome to prove his worth. Arguably he did, it just wasn't much.
