your problem is chase, not yeaman, imo chase is a poor defender, like most scrum halves and stand offs, most teams target them on the pitch to run at, a few times over the last couple of england games chase has left yeaman exposed and left a gap moses would have been proud of parting!

atkins ripped hull apart and the end of the season and im not slagging yeaman off i defended him when others were saying he saying he had a bad game. I just think players should be picked on form and atkins was the form centre come the end of the season

To say Atkins is as good as Reed is ridiculous, and Yeaman/Briscoe have been a thret all season.

Yeaman did drop the ball a couple of times admittedly (For one he offloaded and Sinfield wasn't looking) but against the most dangerous winger in Rugby League they did pretty well, the tries came down the left handside which can only be a testament to Briscoe/Yeaman as Uate was heavily involved in beating NZ, running in loads down the right.

i dont know what else i have to say im fine with yeaman / briscoe but building reed up as some kind of superstar is ridiculous if he was that good the aussies would have made sure he got nowhere near the england squad the aussies who turn english do so because they,ve no chance of getting in the aussie squad and dont believe all the crap they come out with that its been there dream to play for england because we know thats bull

Australia have Tonga, Laurence, Inglis, Idris to name but a few...they are not short of quality centres! But Reed plays with them every week and is proven at that level. Atkins would show how over rated he is if he were to play in the pace and intensity of the NRL, as would many in the SL.

im not saying atkins is a world beater the point i was originally making was that i think he should have been in the squad i cant understand what steve mac does sometimes like picking second rows as centres and leaving decent players out

For them saying bring players in, you cant bring in anyone who isnt in the initial squads, Oz cant replace Slaterand NZ cant replace the injured Prop.

Leaves us a bit light forward wise if them from saturday dont recover too

I so agree with you about Chase - people on this Forum wanting him for Hull FC - not for me at all - a Maverick - Better players in SL - Heighinton only McNamara has an answer - I have never seen him play and 99% of SL followers have not.

Maybe not a superstar just yet but I have been very impressed with him, looks a good team player who can also produce a bit of magic from nowhere.

Agree - he's a big lad to be getting under the radar though. If he carries on growing he'll be at prop on his own
