Whilst both of them are undoubtedly very good players, I wouldn't say neither of them have been as good as Ellis has been in the last 3-4 years.

Westwood isn't great.

If I could sign one player from Bradford it would be Bateman, that lad will be a top top player.

If it was me I would be going all out for him without a doubt

There seems to be constant confusion around this figure is it 6 including Ellis/Arundel, so another two would be 8. Or is it excluding them meaning we have signed 10. Or are the two to come part of the six meaning we have signed 6.

I would hope it's more than 6 but can't see it being 10. God knows

6 new players, how exciting.

Squad needed a mssive change and looks like we are getting it.

Manu is the main loss next season, although we do seem to relay on him too much.

The others including Moa and Tickle are replaceable IMO.

Think Elima has signed, think we will also sign a FB and another two forwards, which will be needed if we cash in on Tickle (which I would do for the right money).

Halfback is the most interesting one for me.

It's interesting that AP says we will be ready to bid for the Bulls best players...suggest we have more room on the cap???

I think that Tickle could well go provided AP gets a decent sized fee. This could then be used for a Bulls player or halfback. I think he already has money he would be prepared to spend but getting money for Tickle might mean he would pay two transfer fees.

Think we might struggle with the cap, maybe sign them and loan them back for the rest of the season?

I think we will get Whitehead as we were after him before the Bulls were in trouble.

We will still have some room on the cap for this season. I imagine Watts and O'Carroll to be on a similar salary, but McKinnon will have been on a lot more than Pitts is, leaving us some room.


After listening to Pearson on the radio it's definitely 8 signings that we're trying to make, with 6 already sorted.

"We've already got 6 players signed up for next season but obviously we can't name them yet, and we're looking for another halfback and front rower".

We've lost McKinnon and O'Carrol, gained Pitts and Watts. I expect that to be a net reduction on cap spend, and there were hints that we weren't at maximum cap anyway. It wouldn't surprise me if we have enough cap space to sign another player for this season.

The player I said ??? could be English, plus Arundel and Crookes along with Pitts and Watts. That's a fair few.

Around 150k fee for tickle,enquiries have been made about chase,cas quoted fee 300k+ and a deal is there to be done.fees for bateman and whitehead are been looked at

That would be a cracking fee for Tickle considering he only has one year left. Would take the other three. Only possible thing with Chase is if his current misdemeanor is more than just drinking...?

I think the wage year runs November to October so in theory we'd only need enough cap space for 4 months wages this season? Sign someone on 120k and we'd only need 40k for this season. Or I may have just made all that up.

Agree about chase though

Agree about the fee for Tickle, but I guess players that are good, experienced, available and willing to join a club that is 'building', are not that thick on the ground. If he goes, 6 might mean 8 after all. With Watts and Pitts, that is a remarkable turnover.
Bateman is worth a fee, Whitehead if he became available for free would be okay but not worth splashing cash for IMO, in these circumstances.

He's ooc next year anyway - £150k would be the proverbial no-brainer.
