Did you not realise that for every try we scored they scored three? As much as I adimire your die hard allegiance to Agar I think you need to wake up, we are a very poor side.

The stats suggest there are 8 worse teams in attack than us. Losing to Leeds today and last week is disappointing however Leeds are the best team in the league and when they start hitting their straps not many teams have a chance of stopping them. Though we last to 2 of the bottom 4 we've also beat 3 of last years top 4... 2 away from home. People said a decent cup run and a top 8 finish would be a good season, we're on course for a top 6 finish and we came up against the best team in the league in the cup.

That's why I didn't say worst. Our attack is pretty effective when well executed. The problems arise when either we don't compete in the forward battle, and therefore can't get within the range we need to be (we are not as dangerous from distance as other top 6 teams), or when the opposition anticipate our attacking style and select tactics to nullify it, and it then becomes clear we have no backup plan.

It arguably still would be a good season if we made the top 6. My issue is with the manner of our performances. We won't get any further than that if we don't make big changes IMO.

Watching the game today (at the game) it struck me how, if you have a core set of great players, how limited a coach input is during a game. It was as if the skill, speed of thought, of the cuff decisions, pace of individual players had more to do with their winning performance. If was like men against boys at times.

Are we reading too much into the short comings of Agar? Maybe we just need BETTER PLAYERS.

What i got do wondering while driving home was what has changed over the last 2 to 3 years? Pretty much everything within club on and off the field. Yet again we seem to be a side that starts well and then just capitulates so question is why is it seemingly going he vsame way this season as the last 2? in short the majority of the 17 are there either because Agar recruited them, or Agar decided they were ready for first team rugby. He can have no complaints about the squad he has IMO, its of his making.

Me to, thirty years and I can't remember feeling this down. Even when we had a poor squad playing in the second tier, we always played with passion. I still think there is enough quality in the squad to compete with the best, they just look lost as soon as the game starts, it's pathetic really.
