I am actually still waiting for the medal to be delivered despite sending payment the day after! Once I do receive it, between myself and the club we will aagree on how the handover will take place and where the medal will be kept. Will keep all informed as developments arise.

Found out who the seller is, a pretty reputable source (not hp) and the guy has been quite ill it seems however the medal should be with me tomorrow I am told.

really hope it finds its way home. being a porper and only able to bid upto x amount(far from the final total) i wish i would have been in with a shout for it. I really hope the club appriciates its value not for its money.

Hi guys, the seller has just dropped the medal and photo card off at my house. He had unfortunately been in a car accident and had been recovering. The medal is exactly as described and I shall be in contact with the club on Monday to make the arrangements for handing it over

Given the current administration's almost complete denial of this club's history, it would be nice to wait a while and hand the medal over to the club at our first televised home game of next season. At least that way, the world and his dog would see them being granted custodian status.

Then again, it's not my medal and Jonny Boy can and should do whatever he sees fit.

Whilst in essence I agree with your sentiments, from a purely selfish point of view I would like the handover to happen sooner rather than later.

I would imagine that the club will also feel the same given that we are in the off-season and over than player recruitment (of which it seems there will be little) then good news stories are few and far between

Someone previously mentioned FC just been custodians, have you thought about the 'donation' as been an indefinite loan with stipulations to get it back should conditions be broken (ie if someone just tucks it away undisplayed or the club goes into administration) Maybe you could make sure that they have it assessed/insured so that an exact replica could be made in the event of loss. (Fire, theft etc)

To be honest, I think this is exactly the way things will happen. Ultimately it is a 'gift' to the club Hull FC and the fans alike not to the people who run the club at the current time.
