A wonderful forum night tonight!

Ben Thaler was a revelation into what crap support they get from the communications system (ie they can't hear the linesmen most of the time), the video refs (can't comment on live action - only if referred), he thinks there are a lot of appalling decisions made because of the stress and the fact that they don't have eyes in the back of their heads (apparently ref's heart rates average at "dangerous" during matches (an input provided by Shaun McRae)) and thinks the "forward pass" decisions that put us out of the cup and the Rovers match the other week were "incorrect".

He also commented on the fact that he had reffed 5 Rovers matches this season and they'd won the first 4 before "that" match and indeed that Justine had until then declared himself happy with Thaler's (and others) games.... got he impression he was NOT impressed ("no support" from the RFL despite Justine's fine) he felt he'd done a good job.





Rob Burrow and Earl Crabtree were both exceptional guests and I think Shaun McRae may be paving the way back.

Best night of the Horne's testimonial this weekend IMO - just a shame very few people were there. Horney's committee - 4 fab events in 3days? then nothing for anyone not interested in golf for ages???

There are plenty of times that officials wear the comms set to fool players that it is working when it isn't. When it works its excellent and the officials can communicate well and the 10 metres can be policed by the TJ who can give input. Without the coms, the TJ can give no input on offsides.

Sounds like this was a really good night.

Bugger all that. When's the next player's testimonial year? I wanna play again before I croak. Well, as long as the door people stop that Washbrook character. He took the p!ss ouuta me all afternoon.

Did they announce a date for the friendly between the two clubs next season?

Not as yet,just says jan/feb on the events timetable.

Firstly, its not Hull FC that chooses, its Richard.

Secondly, Craven Park may be a tad cheaper to rent than the council stadium.
