I heard a Cooper Cronk rumour at the weekend. The rumour being him playing for us next season.

Don't think Cronk would like been stuck on the bench though.

We've already offered money for Myler and it was accepted, he, however decided to stay at Warrington. This was only a few weeks ago.

Cronk is contracted until 2013, with Inglis, Lima and Finch leaving aswell as others and the cap going up in Oz. I don't think Melbourne will have to release anymore players.

I'm not getting this. Where have you (and I open this to others who are already convinced he'll transfer straight to an excellent centre) seen evidence of this great rugby brain for him to be a brilliant centre?

So far in the first team, I've seen him display good pace, excellent tackling technique, and freakish strength for his size. All mainly physical attributes. What weaknesses have been in his game (i.e. positional play - which has improved though; and his decision-making) are more of the mental side of the game. I've not seen him create much at all if I'm honest, other than the odd break for himself which has been from his aforementioned strength.

Can you give any examples of any creative skill we've seen?
A show and go, perhaps? Or a good piece of ball handling to put someone else away? Maybe he's chipped over the line and regathered sometime that I've missed?

So far in the first team, Briscoe has been a finisher (and a very good one at that), tackled strongly, and helps clear his line well. None of these are traits particularly suited to centre over the wing.

when asked - most recently last weekend, Kyle has no other intentions other than playing for rovers next term!

He's so far been linked with, Cas,Wakey,London,Salford,Crusaders and now Hull!!
Each rumours have come accompanied by diferent versions of 'it's a done deal' 'dead cert' or it's 'nailed on' tag - again usually from "someone in the know"!!

Where did I use any of those descriptions to describe the possible transfer of Briggs? I never, so who's talking cak!!

I was told by two seperate poeple on Saturday that Briggs was coming our way and then told by someone on here later that night too. Simply a rumour that we have paid some money in order to get him. No idea if it's true.

Regarding what Briggs had to say, I am sure if he was thinking over a deal he would have told you the truth wouldn't he.

Wire were happy to do business with the deal we offered, Rich was tempted but decided to stay and fight for his place.

He clearly doesn't want to leave Lancashire, well not for this part of the world anyway. 3 times we've been in for him and 3 times he's declined. I'd leave it at that.

He's hardly going to tell his own fans he wants to leave is he, if Hull made an offer that was accepted (and we easily have enough money to do so), then don't kid yourself that he wouldn't move to Hull, he would be stupid not too.

a lot of credit to the kid too, however should he suffer another season as a bit part squad member he may well be more receptive to a repeat offer , the offer we made was handsome but the kid has principles and stuck to em !!!
