Having just arrived back home in Knaresborough after god knows how many hours sat in a car I can confirm tonights events were pretty extreme ,luckily we were running late so got filtered off the M62 avoiding the grid lock between the 2 junctions.Normally travelling to Hull games on the M62 once your past Ferrybridge is a doddle we normally set off 6-6.30 on fridays and make kickoff. If the Hull players were caught up in it at about 5 then they would have plenty of time even allowing for reasonable delays.
Anyway we'll be back on the M62 sunday battling through the snow no doubt.

in 18 seasons of superleague it's the first time it's happenend,it was a freak set of circumstances,people have been inconvenienced,get over it.

It'll probably be bollox if some on ter has posted it.
No mention of anyone being killed on Calender News after they just mentioned the incident!

pah, gutted. came all the way from Hertfordshire for this, admittedly came up Wednesday afty(see i set off early enough...lol)
planned to be back home Sat night so very unlikely I can stay for Sunday..can i get a refund do you think?
Really pee poor by the players(& Bradford club if true about them needing an escort)..leaving at even 3 or 4pm on a Friday along an arterial route like the M62 from West Yorkshire for a pro sports match you're involved in is just absolutely unacceptable.
You absolutely have to take account of freak incidents and given how the M62 can be a nightmare at the best of times a Friday in cold/very average driving conditions is utterly irresponsible by all parties. I wouldn't do it as a fan so why should the participants be any different???
I wasn't unduly annoyed by the timings of announcements at the stadium tbh

Hey its inconvenient for me and no doubt its fine for others.

If those who bought tickets on the night and can't attend on Sunday lose their money then fine, but if they get a refund and I don't then I will think twice about buying a pass in future .

re the choas tonight,ive heard all sorts of discussions ie wether should out of town fc players get here early, call game off when its obvious it wouldnt go ahead, fine fc or deduct points blah blah blah but the point is the m62 was shut due to a major accident! now think about it once the m62 is shut what other route there into hull??? come on answear me please? ok u can peel off the motorway onto backroads but what are you going to meet on said roads? more traffic going everywhere without a clue where its going thus adding to congestion-ive been there on more than one occasion so whos fault is it? ok i feel for the bradford fans who got here and was told the game was cancelled and yes a desicion should have been made earlier but due to circumstances beyond our control it wasnt to be! cast your eyes back to last yr when our game agianst catalans was cancelled...............

Yeah, could have been us. Thought we might as well take them back to the car to kill time before heading back for the 9.15 kick off, then heard in the car park it had been called off. I can wear it on Sunday now.

I was told by a steward on the way out to keep the car park ticket and it should be valid for Sunday, As for refunds, not sure, check the terms and conditions. There was a fair old queue at the ticket just after the announcement to cancel was made. Can only assume they were refunds. Noty sure how cash turnstiles work mind.

Not telling.
