I wouldn't call Tate a utility player at all. If Tate came over here he would arguably be the best centre in the league if you keep him fit. But doing that is a different story.

We don't need him or any other Aussies !!! Sam Moa has proved to be exactly what we have been missing in a prop and he will only get better. We won't find anyone like him in Britain but we could see a decent British back become available during the season.

I agree about Sam Moa and want us to keep him just as much as the next guy, I was just clearly stating that Tate would rip it up over here, if kept fit.

Who will be no where near as good as Brent Tate. Hame and O'Meley are here to provide the impact next year and you need balance, no team has 3 impact props in their starting line up. Moa has looked good this year but Thackray did last year, lets face it, it wouldn't take much to look good in our pack.

I would have thought that if we was intending to keep Moa we would have signed him up by now, think the club are actively looking overseas to fill the final spot, guess we won`t have too long to wait to find out who that may be.

Not many given he's an impact prop. I'd have him in my 17 though.

Hame and O'Meley are both more than just "impact props". Hame will spend a lot of time in the SR and O'Meley is more of an enforcing/pack leading prop.

There is plenty of room for big Sam in our pack. Half a dozen games from Brent Tate will certainly not represent the same value for money.

He may be in yours but he won't be in Agar's. Dowes, Yak, O'Meley and Hame will be. We can't tie up a quota place on someone who isn't even a first-choice player if there is someone better avaliable.

Why on earth would Hull sign Tate and halt the progress of Tom Briscoe and Craig Hall? Even Agar isnt that stupid.

brent tate is a exceptional player and would be the best centre in super league, but 2 ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee in 3 seasons isn't good. although he did play a full season last year.

As good as Brent Tate is, we shouldn't go near him. Hall and Yeaman should be starting with Briscoe as back up for another year.

Sign up Moa and have him off the bench with Manu and Lauaki, with O'Meley starting. If we can have at least 2 of these on the pitch at the same time then it will give us constant aggression and size in the forwards.
