Has he actually been called up? Or are we just wishing him luck on his holidays??
Personally, I don't want the kid to go. Would rather he rested up and had a full pre season with us. We'll get slaughtered by the Aussies, probably NZ too and I don't see France as a certainty, he could come back with his confidence in tatters.

playing for your country is the pinnacle for any player i hope hes plays in every game and performs well.
its a great experience for the lad. |

I don't see that as much of a risk TBH. He's extremely level-headed and has bags of mental strength - let's face it, his last two seasons have been pretty tough on the confidence front and he seems to have come through unscathed. |

We might well get slaughtered by the Aussies and the Kiwis, but as long as Briscoe isn't shown to be below the standard of the rest of the team (which I don't think he will be), his confidence should be fine.
It's a little early, but he was always going to make the international set up. One season won't make too much difference, IMO. A decent run out this season and a good SL season next year will see Briscoe cement his place as first choice England centre, I reckon. |

Playing against the best players in the world will only benefit him in the long run. I hope he gets selected. |
