I like you Cindy have supported FC for years as I am also in my 60's, but must agree with most of the younger posters on here, the present day team are not fit to wear the famous black and white hoops, no passion commitment and definitely no pride it appears, and you can't blame people for being demonstrative in what ever way they feel to releive the frustration they are feeling at this present time, I personally have given up on this season, though still will be attending the remaining games only because it'd be a waste of my pass not to go, but looking forward to better day's next season, HOPEFULLY.

Maybe not, but we are certain to still get a licence. I would be more worried about the next franchise application if my team only got a grade B or C last time, and had not gone on to increase attendances or significantly improve facilities at their ground.

I was merely pointing out that players then socialised together as part of the club culture. Anyone who went to see the 3 Kiwis reminisce at the Charleston last Christmas heard them wax lyrical that the success of that team was purely down to how they bonded as a set of individuals and played every match with maximum effort for each other.

I fully appreciate that Super League has taken fitness levels to another dimension and drinking doesn't fit into that. But as a result the opportunity for bonding by playing as well as working together has been lost. I know we can't go back to those ways but I defy anyone to say that we see those levels of passion now.

But a team in the top 4 and in the playoffs are under scrutiny according to you.

Saints, Leeds, Brisbane to name a few, all show what can be achieved with the right amount of effort and dedication.

The culture at the club and the dedication of the majority of the players is just wrong. If they can't bond or form a relationship without going out and getting ratted, then the problems could be even bigger than most of us thought.

You don't get a franchise licence just by finishing in the top 4.

Our grade A license will see us get another franchise next time around, sure it may drop to a B, but we will get one. Teams like Salford, Wakefield, Cas, Quins and your lot, are not certain to get a license at this moment in-time because despite all the best intentions, shovels are still to be introduced to the ground on several new stadium builds or ground improvements whilst some struggle with poor attendances.

So, to reiterate my point, I am far more confident, despite our current predicament, that Hull FC will gain another super league franchise in front of the clubs I have just mentioned.
