Where's Chris28 these days - he works for immigration or something like that doesn't he? Let's see if he can compile a comprehensive dossier on all Mason's indiscretions, just to ensure the visa decision is fully informed.

You could bank on Morgan offering Mason a bed!

| Don't know whether there are any legs in it but David Solomona was sat in the west stand at the Leeds game, assume he was just taking in a game but he was sat amongst our non playing players and a couple of Club employees made a point of going over and saying hello prior to the game. Wouldn't be much logic in it but just letting you know what I saw.

| I know it won't happen but if berro's quota spot became available it would be a great state of intent from the club to go to Cas offer them some money for Chase and show the fans they mean business he's a top player and in a position we need

| Solomona is a good player, but in a position that we're already strong in. Would rather we looked at other areas before we went for second row, unless they sign a new second rower, and move Lauaki up to prop.
Thought washy did well yesterday covering sr/loose

Agree. Pretty sure Solomona signed an extension for next year anyway.

| am i the only 1 who saw glen morrison sat in the west stand also saw him walking past the reception at full time. god i hope we dont make him an offer. lets let dowesy go and bring in a quality prop, leave lauaki in the back row running out wide thats what hes best at. i still feel we need 1 quality winger to allow briscoe to go in the centres, now am i right in saying that francis meli woundt class as a non fed player as he was here before the rule was introduced, was rumoured to us couple of mounths back but why not still go for him. 1.tansey 2.sharp 3.briscoe 4.yeamen 5. meli looks a good backline to me with plenty of cover with the likes of lyne, whiting, turner, berro.

| For next season I would be thinking something along the lines of
Tansey,
Sharp/Lyne, (whoever has best preseason)
Yeaman,
Berrigan,
Briscoe,
Horne,
Long,
O'Meley,
Houghton,
Radford,
Tickle,
Fitzgibbon,
Washbrook,
Moa
Lauaki (as prop)
Manu
Whiting
So, with that kind of idea being in mind for me, I'm only really considering the signing of a new prop and scrumhalf (for cover) as being something that WE MUST sign. Possibly an interchange hooker, too, but the others are of greater need.

| If berrigan moves to centre we need a hooker.
I'd like us to bring in a good young English player to cover 7. (briggs, myler, thackrey or the lad at fax?)
And at least another prop.

No chance with Myler...at all. Warrington would never let him go anytime soon, he also doesn't want to move over here, and would probably be after a big salary.
Prop is a MUST.

not up to now as i know hes been offerd a 1 year deal with saints but think he wants a at leaste 2 years, quite a few teams have been rumoured to be wanting him. me personally i would love him at hull would be a good signing and like i say would allow briscoe to go in the centres. berro is solid in the centres but nothing special lets get an quality prop and winger and the squad will start to look alot better.

| We don't need another winger. We have far greater priorities than at winger, where we have Briscoe, who's bloody brilliant, Lyne who's looking like he'll have a great career infront of him, new signing sharp, who, if i'm honest, I don't know too much about, and possibly Calderwood.

yeh briscoe is brillant but lets play him the centres next season. that then leaves will sharp and reece lyne as the only wingers in the squad, calderwood will be gone i feel and lyne isnt quite ready yet. if we want to improve then the backline has to be improved as were quite good in the forwards but lack QUALITY in the backs.

Exactly right and I was gonna post something similar until you beat me to it
Briscoe, Lyne and Sharp with possibly Calders is more than enough cover. After the signing of Sharp I've never expected another winger to come in. All this talk of Briscoe to centre next season I don't buy and I don't see it coming either the lad is and continuing to develop into a as Panda puts it 'bloody brilliant' winger. I hope that doesn't change anytime soon.

But with his brain he'd be even more of a bloody brilliant centre. Talent like that must not be left out wide - should be creating in the middle.

Very true and I'm all for Briscoe playing in the centres at some point but people seem to want him as a starting centre next year, why throw him straight into the position? nothing wrong with him starting on the wing next season and making appearances at centre. Build him into gradually. We'll have Sharp and Lyne on the wing next year and I wouldn't be surprised if Calders was given a contract too so three wingers and Briscoe obviously would play there if needed even if he did get a go at centre.

| Next year I'd love to see:
2 - Lyne
3 - Berrigan
4 - Briscoe
5 - Sharp
Looks quite exciting. Also Yeaman will have to step up and challenge for his place for once.
