Yeah he has just completed his studies so hopefully he will get a chance this year even if its just against the weaker teams.

In my opinion you've made the best signing of the off season (so far) in securing Andy Lynch.

I disagree Standee. If he wants to come, then Bradford will lose out in the bargaining stakes as its pointless having a player who wants to leave - this has the Carvell scenario all over it now.

If Bradford don't like the offered fee, they may have to live with a captain that wants to be elsewhere and watch him leave for nothing next year. they have given him permission to speak with us - so we could just simply get a pre-contract in place for next year meaning he is ours for nothing at the end of the coming season - but would Bradford want to keep a player who wishes to leave?

My guess is this is all done and dusted as Bradford were perfectly OK with him leaving as soon as Hull made the offer. Hood has already said that Hull have approached the matter in the right way which means they were happy with what was offered. The delay in announcement is to find something to sweeten the news for the Andy Lynch fan club who think he should have 20 caps.

The latest rumour I heard about Gleeson was that he was giving slimming pills that he shouldn't have been given with his anti depressants. That's why our conditioner was sacked. But he should be back next season. Any one else heard this?

If I was Bradford and wanted a bit more money out of this deal, I'd be asking for a pre-season friendly clause because if this feel good factor and player signings carries on they'd get 5,000 travelling from Hull.

Not heard anything about Gleeson other than he won't be here next season. The HDM today refers to an NRL outside back, I do hope it's a centre and a not a winger.

Winger is the last thing we need imo as we have Sharp, Whiting and Lyn.

Totally agree Paul ! A winger would be a complete waste of salary cap and even worse if it were a quota signing.

I'm sure we have the right people moulding our 2012 squad and they'll do the right thing and more.

Lynch will be an very good addition and in my eyes an improvement on the two we have shipped out (Dowes and Lauaki).
The fact that he's their current captain makes me even more pleased, with Fitz retiring I think we will really benefit from adding another leader to our front row.

Get rid of Gleeson and forget it ever happened. He's been a liability for years now whoever he's played for and even if he came back then i wouldnt trust him to see the season out.

Agreed. I'm more than confident that the outside back from the NRL is a centre. In fact I beleive a deal has alredy been done with an individual out there.

I think its easy to sometimes think of the winger as the last and least important player in the team, you can almost think you can stick anyone there and get away with it (in a way we have sticking Whiting there). Look how many tries from nothing that a top quality winger like Briscoe brings. If Jordan Turner keeps improving like he has I just wonder if we would be better looking for another TOP quality winger - I just dont think Sharpe or Lynn are going to be that person and would much rather see Whiting on the bench covering numerous positions perhaps (or invevitably filing in one of the back line positions when we have injuries)

If Gleeson's under the Doctor for stress related illness Hull would have to be very careful approaching him at all, particularly as there won't be a queue looking to pick his deal up.

Still no word on Burnett ? I know he is out of contract but would he be the depth SR we need ? What kind of year did he have at Quims ?

I am more inclined to give these wingers a chance under the new setup, see what hopefully a good coach can do with them.

I think a good along with Turner would be good cover for us.

I can definately see an Aussie and lets face Peter Gentle will know one that he rates as an exciting prospect even that would light up superleague and maybe not a top star but I just have a sneaky feeling that we might just get a name announced to increase our reduced season ticket prices.

Maybe i'm crazy but i like Sharp... He works hard, he's fast and as he showed on Sunday he is good one on one defensively.. He will benefit from having a decent centre partner which he's never had!! If we put him on the left he would be a quality winger!!

The exact position he played well for quins,but we tried playing him on the opposite side.
