What he said. Ive never really rated him that highly. I know he's been a bit unlucky to not get a starting spot but if he was good enough he would force himself into a place in the team.

the way agar likes his loose men i cant see washy ever been first choice 13, fwiw i do think the man to take over from fitzgibbon is at the club.

Washy is a good 13 IMO, and well worth keeping hold of.

FWIW, I don't actually rate Washbrook that highly. I think that he is a very useful utility player who could become more than that in years to come. He wouldn't be in my 17 currently unless there were 2 or 3 injuries. His best position will be 13 but IMO we already have a better prospect there if he ever gets his chance. I think that Mr. Whiting could become a very good LF indeed when Fitzy has gone (hopefully after 3 or 4 season in the B&W)

Hi all i don't post on here much, but I thought I would add my thoughts. I went to watch the under 20s yesterday were washy played stand off and again looked very poor and failed to create anything against obviously much weaker opposition.

Errrm, Whiting, Hall and Lee all rated infront of Washy at that time

Think that opinion may have changed now he has shown his preference for 3 props, Radders to HKR anyone????

So would you play Whiting there then??

I think fitz has the spot for 2 years hopefully with injury cover by Turner / radford, I think we will bring in another LF when Fitz goes back home but by then alas I fear Washy will be long gone, if reports are ture that he has spat his dummy out at Agar, his performances in the 20s are poor its then not looking good is it???

Forgot about Turner at 13, would think he is in front of Washy also, would imagine Salford would be a good move for him or if he is lucky, Cas or Wakey

To be fair to Washy, he isn't a Stand Off. For me he's an out and out LF. The problem is that we have better options there.

I agree, but as you say there are alot of people ahead of him at the moment and Liam Cunningham as many people have suggested is progressing along quite nicely in washy's best position.

Can't argue with the sentiment though.

With Tansey being the extra pivot, a ball playing LF is not vital to how we play (although Fitz is showing a lot of skill in the position).
Washy hasn't kicked on, which sometimes happens with players of his age (especially at Hull for some reason).

I suggested earlier in the thread that since he lost his step and pace we maybe should try turning him into out 'Cunningham' style hooker. Washy and Houghton as our hookers when Berro goes in 18 months would be pretty good wouldnt it?

I agree with that and see no real reason why he played stand off in the U20's. Loose forward or hooker may be the way forward.

Think he may not have an opportunity to play 13 for some time. Hopefully Fitz will get an extension and then after that Turner may well be in the running for 13.

I'd use him to spell Berro in some games this year at 9.
