I was actually wondering if Thierry Halle Berry is as bad as people make out. He has refereed at SL level for quite a while now and, whilst he was off the pace when he first started, I'm not that sure he is poor. Last season I'm pretty sure it was our rugby that was the cause of our losses when he was refereeing and not his ability.

No he gets slated no matter which team he is reffing.

IMO he does dont exert his authority on the players and they seem to get away with all the niggly things that irritate fans......especially when its against us.

He must be the worst ref in the league by a mile, he's like a bloody robot. Every time Hudds were offside he just stepped forward 2 yards to get level with them.

The french 'get' should be battered, he was poor tonight and for both sides, looks lost at times when he needs to make decisions.

He allowed Hudds back into the game in the 2nd half, penalised Hame which gave them a try and then refused to give ptb or offside penalties for 20 mins which enabled Hudds to slow the game down.

Very poor ref.

Had a shocker really but seemed to give the big decisions to us so I'm not going to complain too much.

which one as i saw neither raise a flag at the off sides,forward passes(both teams),high tackles,grapple tackles..etc

Some baffling decisions at times for both teams!!

Last season,if I remember correctly he gave 7 tackles until the touch judge put him right.Can`t remember which game though.

Thought he was his usual awful self last night. We tried to speed up the ptb but he let them lay on constantly. Offsides were a thing of the past and i was baffled by a few of his decisions.

1, Hame penalised - Was it for backchat???
2, The move where we looked like going in touch and we worked the ball back inside for the ref to give Hudds a penalty

Those were just a couple of the strange ones for me.

Yes, i believe he said, "I say ref,you are making some strange decisions,are you sure you are applying yourself correctly?"

Seriously this guy just isnt getting any better!!!

Totally agree. He's a joke but sadly the pipeline for new refs isnt great.
