Not saying this may not turn out to be true, but we had similar statements from the same sources that Hull hadn't even spoken to Cas about Chase. Just before the deal was announced.

People don't always know as much as they think they do, regardless of how good their sources seem. That's why I tend to ignore rumours and wait for announcements.



My gut feeling is that sorting out the visa complications will be too time consuming and expensive and he'll stay at Cas. But that's based on nothing but pessimism.

If we are just an "interested party" then perhaps a decision on the visa has been made and relayed to Chase and we believe/know it to be positive? That being the case we would then want to apply pressure to Cas and Chase to get the formalities completed quickly as presumably nothing would have been actually signed and sealed prior to the outcome of the Visa application with either Cas or the player though no doubt agreements had been reached "subject to". Cas and/or Chase could be now trying to rewrite the deal to sqeeze a bit more out of it?? Especially as it is critical to AP's pass sales strategy to make the announcement sooner rather than later. Then again it could be all total b0ll0x!

Regarding Rangi Chase, I accept that he is a fine player & Hull would benefit from having him in the team, however I would not be down hearted should the proposed deal fall through for whatever reason. I believe that the club will have by now a plan 'B' [player wise & I think that most of us will be more than happy should plan 'B' have to implemented.

Like most of us I do not know who the players Hull have in mind, I can only guess & hope.

McDonnell would be good signing, I though he looked awful at the start of the year, but made big improvements as the season went on and looked a very good attacking threat, links up well with the attacking line and safe under the high ball.

Unfortunately you cant have superstars in either position and he is certainly a big improvement on what we have at the moment.

I think Sam might surprise a few people next year and play a few games, he is a better prop than Luke Burgess IMO and he has played quite a few games this year.

But they're at different clubs and Souths aren't great in the front row.

If Moa plays more than 10 he'll have had a fine season.
