As I said earlier on, a mate doesn't believe the Chase deal will come through and we're either still looking at Brough or we've just about signed him.
I don't believe it for one bit, but he seems sure of it.

In my opinion though I don't see Chase coming to us and will either stick with Seymour or sign someone else.

Brough does know want to come back to the area , he offered his services to rovers who said they'd never have him . Maybe lack of cash , so if the chase deal falls through brough would come . 'Pay To Play' deals don't really work with the salary cap though, as I imagine you would have to put the player's salary down as though they will play in every round. Obviously the club would save financially for any games missed, but in terms of salary cap I don't think it helps.

Most disappointing thing about signing galea is the fact it means we've obviously missed out one someone else - presumably bateman. galea is a good player but it's nailed on that he'll end up playing about 1 in 4 games next year plus I don't believe he's coming on a pittance as some would have us believe. it was widely reported that rovers had offered him a deal for next season on much reduced terms. I can't see any way he'd have signed for us unless it was for a significant amount more and for me it's too much to have tied up in a 34 year old who has barely played this season.

Don't see the chase deal coming off now either which is a pity as he was brilliant at times tonight. Just what we need
