Seymour had a poor game, but in his defence the pack was well beaten, and he was given little protection by our forwards when attempting kicks.

We badly lack both power and pace in the side. Players like Horne, Lynch, Whiting, McGoldrick all have some good qualities to bring to the team, but collectively they are very slow.

Moa and O'Meley are badly missed at the moment, players like Pitts simply don't make the same impact in the oppositions defence.

yer hopefully they will gel quite quick and i think they will do with a good pre season with gentle just look how we started this season we was on fire in defence and doing some good stuff in attack the biggest loss this year has been mckinnon and there is no argument about it he was making things happen like patten for salford take him out and your link up and support play is shattered like ours has been since he left defenatly need a new full back and a good half and 2 massive props to get over the advantage line i think we have the backs to match any team next year but need some big guys to give um some room

Definetly....................for most of this season, people are slating our halfs, i agree they are not world class!!! But for most of this season they have being playing behind a beaten pack, But also................where has that fire in defence gone??? I think the pressure we have put our selfs under is showing a little.............poor decisions in attack, and certain players commiting a little too much in defence?

Personally i cant see were our next win is going to come from. There are too many players showing no pride in the Hull shirt, as mentioned on countless occasions Turner is a waste of space ever since he 'got homesick' and didnt want to be here he has gone backwards, surely Jack Briscoe, Tom Lineham deserve a chance, im sure they will play with pride even if they do make the odd error, similar to Crooks last nite. How many times has Seymour had kicks charged down? surely it isnt rocket science he needs to drop back an extra cpl of metres or let someone else kick.

Players with no 'pride in the shirt' wouldn't have defended like we did yesterday. Something Gentle alluded to in his post-match interview. Our problem isn't guts, it's brains.

Thought there was plenty of effort last night. Makes me laugh when people claim manu isn't putting the effort in. Must have played an hour last night in his 3rd game in 6 days

Agree Manu has always played with pride and put 100% effort in every game, seems to be more agressive of late too. He is completely different to Turner IMO

10 Players out / injured (according to others on here) - take 10 out of any side and they would struggle
Of those 10 players, a complete front row and one half of our second row!
Turn over of players in short period - yes coaches choice but needs must - without question will effect the fluidity of the side
All of the above meaning players having to pla out of place (Crooks as an example)

Not too sure what people expect...we are still competative and while we are we have a chance to win the game......pride in the shirt? Yes i think the guys do have!

One thing I noticed about Seymour last night is that ,on numerous occasions, within 15 metres of the Leeds line, he was first receiver on the 4th tackle and he was quite often tackled leaving him to play the ball rather than him being in position to kick on the last, leaving the kicking duties to Horne which resulted in few repeat sets.

Going back to the OP, i think there was more gloating from your fans when you beat us at your place in may tbh. That aside it was always going to come down to which team defended better, as a leeds fan i am very happy to get the two points first and foremost, but also very happy in the defensive side of our game, we actually looked like we wanted to defend something we havent seen for a fair while from our side!

Pitts never really got a proper chance at our place but i like the look of him in your side and believe he will become a very decent player for you the same with watts.

You have a steal about you in defence which is much improved this year itll take time as with us its a bit of a tranistional period but there is plenty of positive signs

You're more positive about us than 95% of our fans

its because i can see improvements, you arent going to go from just getting in the 8 to top 4 over night, u like leeds have some very talented youngster its just a case of getting the right balance, and im sure you're all more confident in someone like gentle than you were in agar to build a competitive side?

At the beggining of the season we were short on props and this is being shown up now. I dont know if O'Meley is injured or they just wont play him, if we had two proper props on the bench I think we could of won it. Releasing O'Carrol when he was fit was strange, he might not be a world beater but he adds size. Aspinwall is just backrower as is Radford. Leeds always had the advantage in the pack. I dont like the look of a mobile pack, might work in aus with hard grounds but across here I doubt it, i hope im proved wrong
