Half our 1st team squad have had injuries as well but will still be here next season...are they a risk as well?

Having spoken to Galea today and the Broncos game, he's said he's signed. It wasnt a joking, winding up answer either, he seemed genuinely gutted to be leaving Hull KR. FWIW, I think for a year he could be a decent addition. With him and Ellis in the squad, it shows the young players the professionalism and attitude to be aimed for.

Was chatting AP after the game, he says the rangi deal is "getting complicated" but we have holdworth done and A N Other as back up in case it falls through

Also managed to grab rangi before he left, asked if we would see more of him next year and he whispered "i hope"

How many of those are 34 year old ?

Does age matter though...some are a lot younger but still picked up bad injuries.

Was he also telling people he was going to be on £100k pa?

Because that seems to be a lot to pay for a 34 yr old player who would seemingly rather be somewhere else.

Age is a massive factor as we learnt with Longy, age affects the recovery period, very few forwards manage half a season at that age at this level, Menzies has but he is a freak.

It's my opinion that the salary bit is completely made up by Rovers fans - it suits their agenda.

Paea>Galloway>Taylor>Amor>Johnson.

Bateman>Whitehead>Elima>Galea.

Really doesn't look like our recruitment has planned out how we wanted it too!

Perhaps we should wait and see. As it stands out of that lot only Paea and Elima definitely aren't signing for Hull FC.

Seems galea has indeed signed a deal with fc. As i stated earlier the club want him to mentor/coach some of the younger playesr we currently have and are bringing into the squad. He wont be first choice and is on nowhere near the supposed 100k figure salary going around. Could turn out to be a good bit of business if I'm honest.

I believe chase will be in black and white next year. He will be our benji in the side, tonight was a glimps of what he will bring to our team

i would have given him another year but you signing him for a year doesnt really make sense he will be a great signing if he stays fit and its only really this last season hes had injuries so its a risk but isnt every signing 112 app in 5 seasons so average of 22 games a season isnt bad

With the rumoured props were after / signing , all young English looks like we need a bit of experience in the pack . Always liked galea , only bad side is his age . Used properly could be a good signing . Can also play stand off which is a bonus so maybe no mcgoldrick .

My only concern on Galea is if it is in place of someone we had lined up who has had a changed of heart.

whiting and westerman will be fighting for the 13

pitts will play prop, the club intend to really work on him in the off season and seriously bulk him up(its hard to do this during the season)

I think its a shrewd bit of buisness, with Radders, Galea, and Ellis we will have some senior guys bringing the youth on,

With Regards to Chase i so hope you are right.. Just watched a bit of the Salford highlights and Holdsworth showed he has a good Rugby Brain and some neat little touches..... His Goal Kicking was pretty good as well as his attacking kicking for one of the Salford tries, he also had a nice little double chip that was spoilt by a Mathers penalty..

He did however kick out on the full with one 40-20 attempt mind .........

By the way, in his programme notes Adam Pearson confirmed we will announce two signings a week over the course of the next month.

Dobson is definitely a back up option, I said earlier in the season he was extremely close to been signed at easter for this year and I got shot down for it. At the time the club was looking at holdsworth and dobson for next season then chase became 'available' and we changed our approach.

Still sure it will be holdsworth and chase next year though
