Have both captains been sin binned, at the same time, in a game before?

Our usual slow and poor start already done the damage.
We are just too lightweight and needed to be smarter from the start. In fairness we practically gifted Rovers their early scores due to our continual poor starts as if we just aren’t ready.

We’ve done well to stem the tide and get back in to the game but needed to get a score.

I know we have it tough and Trueman doesn’t have much to play behind but for a player on marquee money he really has got to start delivering something. It’s times like this you need your marquee players to step up and he just isn’t doing it.

I’m also not sure we are any worse in and around ruck/ptb than Rovers but seem to be getting pinged more along with offside calls.

Wish someone would just flatten Minchella and Lewis don’t expect anything else from Minchella as that’s all he’s got but Lewis has talent and does t need to be such a grub

Showing why we need a massive change of players next year. I'm not gonna blame one player as there's a lot need moving on. . Unfortunately today showing where we are. At least showed a bit of grit the last 20. But Rovers have gears to move up if needed. Painful to watch but good crowd here considering

Completion is higher than theirs. 85%.

Errors and discipline poor, but it was their fast first 20 mins which did the damage. Since then it’s been an even game.

Unfortunately it’s showing again that we have about 1/3 or our salary cap not even playing, relying on teenagers in key positions, and only have 3/7 quota players.

Only pub teams take heart from having
a bit of a biff and scuffle when losing.
Professional teams analyse their completion rates and where they need to get better in the game and quick !!

Problem with calling Lewis a grub when they play for Hull FC they are great a la Connor

I think in fairness the majority said similar about Connor when he played for us and that it affected his game

We have one quality forward,no halfbacks and two poor centres
Rovers are in second gear but still have too much power in the forwards and of course much more pace

Better start to the 2nd half and playing with a bit more pace and intensity.

Kept them scoreless for 50 minutes.

Such an improvement against a top 4 side. Within 8 points again for the 6th week in a row. If only we had this effort since the start of the season.

Aydin is a definite upgrade on Brown, he’s been a real workhorse and stand out for me today.
Much better performance and played smarter this half.

Why cant we seem to kick a ball dead ? Happens every bloody week. Youngsters or not its very very simple rugby.

Wanted our youngsters to give them a scare and we really did do that.

Fair play to our lads. Up to squad number 49, 2nd vs 11th, they didn’t score in an hour. 9 of the 17 from our academy.

For real, we may have had KRs pants down with this swap.

Too many dumb plays and players.

9 of our 17 from the academy, including 1, 7, 9 and 13. Only 3 of a possible 7 quota players playing, 2 in the second half. Kept them scoreless for an hour. 2nd vs 11th.

If we played from the kick off rather than 20 min mark we would have beaten them today. Fair play to the lads.

Mixed feelings really for me . There is no doubt the spirit and work is now in our game again; think with a strike centre and proper seasoned halfback we’d have beaten them . Sao played very well but spoils his game with penalties and Aydin is a great pick up , a real workhorse and competitor . Rovers wouldn’t trouble the top 2 on that showing, gives me hope for next season with Abdul and a couple of other signings , hopefully to add to the mix . I’m not sure I’d be signing a fullback , between Litten and Moy we have enough and I’d go all out for a pacer outside back and half . Great effort today and cannot fault the effort . That’s all we could ask really.

Considering the side we side we put out against almost a full strength Rovers side it’s not been the hammering we would have suffered before Smiths departure.

If we’d had a bit more guile/craft and started the game better instead of waiting for 20 minutes before we found our feet.

Certainly lots of positives.

Litten coming on for Carlos (looks like another injury) made a difference with his pace.

Moy and Lewis look better each game, difficult game for Charles but still didn’t let anyone down.

Just our habit of slow starting has again cost us.
Mixed feelings really disappointed to suffer another loss to them but not too disappointed with the result as the performance by and large was there. Though still some dumb/poor play and bit of inexperience to work on.

Considering everything this again was a really gutsy performance. Good crowd and atmosphere to. Lads definitely didn't leave anything out. Obvious we need to bolster our squad which we are well on the way to. Adyin Ese Soa carried the pack . Trueman showing with a decent team around him can be a very good half. Youngsters did well but lane Gardiner smith all looked championship players. Tuim times has run. Still feeling confident if we can add a couple of good signings we will improve a lot next year

Great effort but lacking in quality. I think if ashworrh and cartwright were playing it would have been a different game but we lack quality at half back, centre and 2nd row
