Just got back from the game..

1st off, what happened in there try near the south stand, and there try near the north stand (charnley try) he WAS in touch at least a yard before he put the ball down..

However, what a game from the lads. They finally brought pride into the shirt and pushed them all the way. I feel silverwood had a bad game imo, especially in second half but you expect it nowadays with him..

Lineham and crookes are looking a real class partnership..

Last but not least, even though it's a loss. Better then the dobbins.

Got to give Gentle credit for turning things round, he got his tactics and team selection all wrong on Good Friday, but since then seems to have thrown the tactics in the bin and started afresh. We now seem to have found a style that suits us, and just need that one player (be that Holdsworth or a new No7) who can make the right decisions in the oppositions 20.

Very committed performance by the Hull team tonight. Top effort.

Very proud of the boys tonight . Gentle going to have a word with Ganson on monday about some of the calls in tonights game . I honestly believe if DJ was in the team tonight we would have walked away with the two points.

All i ask is a 80min display with pride and passion and we got that tonight...shut up the arrogant pie fans (you was top of the league last yr and won sod all)...you had 2 international wingers on the picth,1 man of steel winner and Lineham was head and shoulders above them all...Crooks had his best game for us yet and ran Thornley a merry dance....the only gripe i have is Charnleys try in 2nd half..it looked a try to me but how did he do it...he had superstar Briscoe and yeaman? on him and still scored.

Best 80 minutes we've strung together in a long time. Considering we had our pre season 1st choice 1/2 back pairing and our 1st choice 2nd row pairing out then it was an excellent performance. Gutted we didn't quite have enough to get the win but pleasing to finally give wigan a game again. We'd have beaten every team in SL with that performance barring wigan and maybe leeds

as for silverwood, the man needs to grow a pair and stop being intimmedated by tomkins and the wigan team! havnt heard the gentle interview but cant see what good it wil do as it wont get us any points and will probably fall on deaf ears!

It may do but if you don't make your feelings known then nothing ever will change, at least by speaking directly to the officials they can review the performances of refs and may make them think twice about being so intimidated by Wigan in the future, it may make no difference at all, but whats to lose?

Game breaker for me was Heremaia's missed one on one tackle when Wigan scored back to back tries .

Great effort, very proud Hull fan tonight. Matched them across the park, barring 1 and 7. Horney great again, and our forwards more than matched theirs.

Two gripes at the ref:
1. Their first try looked short to me and another 2500 people in South Stand.
2. 10-12 down, 2nd half. Wigan PTB, Shannon stands still with hands up, Tomkins knocks it on. Wigan penalty! Which Charnley scores from.

Overall committed and much more confident performance. Right edge excellent.

agree on point 2, poor decision by silverwood! looked to us that wigan player playing the ball pushed mcdonnell away too as tomkins knocked on!

couldnt tell on the first try as sat in the east middle section

1st try forward pass.
2nd try Tomkins offside at the kick. I said it would be forward if he passes it, he kicked, and Tomkins was still in front.

The penalty against Shannon was harsh, stood still and Tomkins pushing him into the way of the ball

Great effort from the lads very heartening. Cynical top 4 refereeing. The penalty they got when totally under the cosh when Tomkins knocked on was a game changer. The two kickable penalties to just widen the gap were classic top 4 material. If they were penalties why pick on those specific offences when the same had gone unpunished for 50+ minutes. Textbook top 4 refereeing.

Thought the same. I noticed Wigan more but both sides were probably offside all game yet I don't think one penalty was given for offside all game.

Not quite sure why the two penalties at the end were given, as similar had been going on all game unpunished.

I'm not blaming the ref for the result at all. We ran the table toppers close tonight and if we can perform like that regularly we'll win more than we lose.

Didn't see first try, game resulting moment was whitings knock on after forcing the error. Straight from the scrum! O'loughlin in full stride in the first half before a Hull player played the ball and the 3 times he just let the ball go he got a penalty twice and eventually Silverwood gave a knock on on the third. All when Hull was on top and pressing. Ben Crooks and Horney awesome last night. All the team was but I think these two stood up a bit more. Well done Hull F.C

Just watched the 2 minutes highlights, some good tries scored by both teams. Our first try did look forward but those kind of passes are always touch and go for the ref. Our second try was outstanding.

Just seen highlights after Widnes game, Wigan 1st try forward pass silverwood 5 yards away . Couldnt tell on the highlights if Charnley in touch.
