i have just emailed councillor brady from here in edinburgh,letting him no my feelings about what is going on with the s.m.c.i outlined the fact that even though i no longer live in hull,i am a season pass holder,and travel down from edinburgh for every home game.i explained ,that as a lad,i belonged police boys club in boulevard,and we all used to look forward to the visits of our hero johnny whiteley,and his photo should be displayed premanantly free of charge.

I think thats a really good point Mr Craneys Sidestep. There is indeed serious financial mismanagement at play here. A financial model for a small profit existed and that has been transformed to serious losses at the flick of a name change. I think we need to focus renewed efforts on this achilles heel of the SMC. Perhaps we have been focussing on the wrong thing ??

The SMC/ Allam motives may be petty and borne out of some kind of payback against all things FC, because they think they can. But actually they are mismanaging to such a degree that some sort of enquiry surely should be required if enough people raise the concern in the right way to the right people. They (the allams) might just have rattled a hornets nest.

Local government are aware that under previous regimes, APs included, there simply was not an issue with SMC financial management, (or tenant unrest. ) and now there is. In a big way. That is a new drum we need to bang loudly in the faces of the local government councillors and MP's.
FINANCIAL MISMANAGEMENT - We the people want an audit/enquiry

I'm sure many more than I have written to the contact names offered by Standee, Hutch and Wilf et al in local government, the media etc, I'm wondering now whether we should write directly to Hugh Robertson the present Minister for Sport at the department for Culture Media and Sport. Its not an issue his own backyard I know, but if things such as this are happening in the UK which are effecting the governance of Sport or Sporting bodies then he should at the very least be informed that things are happening which are financially (and ethically) wrong.

If we think this is sensible then perhaps we should co-ordinate our efforts, so not to duplicate and to ensure the message is the correct one. I'm not sure if this should come from FC Voices or a mass effort from the concerned members of the "electorate".

Your thoughts would be appreciated.

My emails to councillors have been forwarded all over the place, the deputy chair of the audit committee is asking for it to be put on the work programme. (audit of the SMC that is)

The Allams are showing some faults in this current issue. No doubt. However, im not sure that they can be blamed for the world wide recession and both Hull FC and Hull Citys crowds dropping causing less money coming into the KC Stadium.
They are absolutely right to try to find new ways to make up the current shortfall, its just that this particularly avenue they are travelling is wrong on more than one level.

The majority is down to falling crowd averages. Probably the same reason the SMC has gone the same way.

Talk about the Allams having pound signs in there eyes. Its like what someone like Del Boy would do. They must be really dumb, because fool proof it is not.

Our next home game is on Sky, maybe a lovely visit by Johnny would be nice. Possibly a little saunter onto the pitch & a nice little wave after the announcer has introduced each stand. That would get the crowd going and be a good chant for when the sky cameras roll!

Yours is the second email of the afternoon on this subject and I, together with all my colleagues on the ward and in the Labour Group, take this very seriously and I am personally dismayed by the reports on this matter.

John Whiteley is a friend to us all (my colleague Sheila and her late husband Eric go back to the 1950s as friends of John) and an example to many and the steps around the Johnnie Whiteley Suite are deeply regretable.

We are looking into this matter and the Leader of the Council (Councillor Brady) is using his best efforts to restore the status quo.

We will continue to do all we can to assist.

I think you have just played right into the Allams arms.
He can now come out and explain that the current pricing structure to bring the SMC back into profit needs addressing.

If he explains it in the same manner he explained why he should be gifted the KC and environs, then we're on to a winner

If its anything like their last foray into the media that should be a right giggle.

Any Council contract can be called in for scrutiny by Councillors. This is one for the value for money scrutiny and contract operators can be brought to task about their operations in a public forum (with the press allowed to observe, take notes and freely report).

Now given Angus Young is suggesting a claim against HCC from the SMC for 500k, this is going to get very very messy. it is part of the plan to get his hands on the stadium, so we need to form strong alliances with politicians to protect the Stadium and our club.

We have to stand united or we will be in serious trouble.

It is starting to look that way. Hull fans, with the very best of intentions, look to have innocently walked straight into a trap. Compounded by the fact that the gagging order preventing Hull from speaking out has stopped Adam Pearson from warning them off.
Taking everything else to one side though, the fact remains that Johnny Whiteleys photos should be re-instated immediately and free of charge. He should not have been a casualty in this episode.

I thought it was my status as a wife that meant I was unable to understand his clever man-talk, and should therefore restrict my activities to shopping in boutiques and supermarkets. Turns out even other men don't know what he's on about. Phew.

I'm not normally a revolutionary, anarchist or even a naughty boy but this has pished me off! We need to campaign against it as strongly as possible (but without getting into trouble cos me mam'll go mad!). Suggest that we:

In addition it'll be a great talking point at the ground, will be a jolly wheeze and won't get me into trouble with me mam!

You forgot to mention important wife activities like cooking, washing, ironing and cleaning.

I think we should also lobby the stadiums sponsor to get them to rename the Stadium the Johnny Whitely Stadium for 5 years. They have naming rights until 2025 negotiated by City's new MD (he was KC'ss lead on the sponsorship).
