I've been an FC fan for over 25 years so have an affinity with the club but I know for sure, like Glees has said, it goes on and a number of players could have tested positive. I bet you if the UKAD tested every player from all clubs in one go, they'd have to cancel a few games for lack of registered players.

Gleeson's been threatening legal action hasn't he? If the claims about documentary evidence are true he could have a very strong case.

Do you even remember that far back? Lloyd was about to close the club - that's the main difference. Nobody is claiming that Kath and co did anything out of a sense of altruism, but the fact is that before the merger we were about to vanish into thin air. In no way, shape, or form are we in a worse state now.

Legal action against whom?

Any case he might bring against any of the parties involved would be long, complicated, expensive, and far from certain to succeed. At the end of the day he's facing the simple fact that ultimate responsibility for taking a banned substance lies with the player, so all he could look at would be trying to prove that he'd have got a lesser ban if he'd been honest from the start. And according to the UKAD report that simply isn't the case.

JR didn't tell thicko Gleeson "DON'T READ THE INGREDIENTS LIST" which is YOUR DUTY to do to see if banned sustances are contained.

It's ALL well and good with HINDSIGHT to say and take the view "I really shouldn't of done it that way".

I for one applaud JR in trying (yes, incorrectly using hindsight and maybe with others involved) to PROTECT our club and players.
