No way as a centre, Turner is better. he is a decent winger but not sure any better than Sharp.

Agree with you on this one Paul, we should only be signing players who will improve our team/squad, Goulding is certainly no better than Turner or Sharp in my opinion, if we are signing a right centre then he needs to be quality, i just hope that type of player is available.

Think,long term Goulding would be a good signing,but would prefer a more experienced,and established centre,at the moment.

From Sharp's performance at the weekend he showed he is a decent winger. He handled Hall very well and broke tackles on the offence. A classy centre inside of him is what he needs to help him out on that side. Been happy with Turner, all depends in who Gentle/Bomber have in mind.

Goulding is slightly better than Sharp, but his signing wouldn't improve us that much. Would rather stick with the potential of Sharp and Lyne than sign him, and concentrate on the positions that are more essential.

To pay Sam Obst off Hull would need to have spare money on this years cap, otherwise any payments are taken from next years cap. If there is spare money in this years cap it can be used to clear next years comitments, an example of this was when Jim Gannon was released by Rovers after the first year of his contract using spare cap monies. it really depends on what deal Obst was given at the time when desperation for an half back was setting in.

Have to say I thought Sharps performance was very good and showed what he can do and hopefully a decent coach will be able to improve him into a solid performer on the wing. His effort and work rate can not be questioned and the desire he showed even when the game had gone chasing down the touchline to make the tackles.

Think he is worth giving a chance under a new coach with a reported ability of bringing on young players.

Maybe Sharp was revelling in the fact it was Agars last game in charge of him??

Don't think Goulding offers much more than Sharp does to be honest, for me Sharp still has some untapped potential.

Unless they've changed the rules, I don't see why we wouldn't be able to do it the same way Warrington did with Hicks last year. So we could pay off Obst once the cutoff passes for next season, then as long as he doesn't play another game for us it won't count on the cap for either year.
