And here is me trying to be helpful, I think we have a fair bit of room under the cap still, so Warrington's Accountant not needed for a year or two! I doubt that we will be bringing in as many high cost players as yourselves, although I am hoping for a few and if we do end up securing Mr Tickle's services then we will clearly be helping to reduce your cap spend, cos that's the sort of club we are!

Rangi Chase himself was telling Cas fans a month ago at Wigan away, He was going nowhere.

Our own shareholders and more informed posters on our own board suggest he is staying put.

I would guess the deal is off.

There are posters on here who many seem to believe just on the basis that they post in a matter-of-fact way.

Far as I can remember, there is actually only a single poster (The Brother) on here with a consistent (albeit not perfect) record of posting 'rumours' that later turn out to be true. Interesting that his information transcends different coaching/management regimes.

AP did say that if they would purse Chase when we couldn't get him back in July but also said that they were looking elsewhere if it fell through, you would hope then that we have got someone else lined up.

Odd that they are setting themselves a deadline and telling us it but like the fact that we have been told something. Who knows, maybe he will be the first announced signing.

this also means he is one of the signings that AP said we were still pursuing. If we give up on it what would that mean for other clubs possibly interested in signing him or Castleford if he can't get a new visa

Same reason they announced Ellis and Arundel? The anti-tampering deadline means nothing in this scenario as he's still contacted beyond this year anyway.

If you submit a visa application then surely you would have to wait until the process has been completed. I can't see how you could suddenly say we've changed our minds. So I'm guessing Hull have been informed of the outcome, and will receive it in writing before the end of the month
