Experienced coaches aren't exactly falling from the sky are they? Why would an NRL coach give up his job and move to the UK?

Lets face it, Udders was a sackable offence. Gentle has to go, so do some contracted players, and before anyone whines about contracts in place, i think we all know now they are worth zip. Ask AP and Koukash.

I dont really care at this point who is the talk of coming in, as if/when the post becomes available, those who really want to be here will be applying, then pick the man.

Hopefully on the players front, Langley has a MOS season at Rovers, just to show AP we should have signed him. He has more medals than Ellis, DJ, Yemo, Westy and various other damp squibs

picking up these unproven coaches is nothing but a gamble, masquerading as a informed decision. its long over due that we bring in a coach with some kind of track record. it may not bring about the word domination that uncovering the next hidden gem of the coaching world would, but at least we could get some stability and build some momentum towards cracking the top 4.

however, its my opinion that Radford may well remain the assistant to a newly appointed head coach. its early days and there's nothing stopping AP from looking at whats available. the last thing AP wants to do right now is come out saying that we are gonna bring in a world class coach and then not be able to deliver, he's had his fingers burnt in doing that already, when trying to bring in a scrum half. if there is no one he fancies for the job, then Radders gets it, and all the while in the press its looks like AP showed faith in Radders from day dot.

Peter Gentle may not be the right man to lead Hull FC but Lee Radford definitely isn't. He and his drinking buddies will turn us into a 1980s pub team.
Our attacking structures will be even worse than this year if we have the defence coach in charge.
Relegation will be more likely than a top 4 finish.
I hope Adam Pearson's promised review of everything to do with the first team squad will not start and end with sacking Gentle. I would like to see him sack some of the players who let down Gentle so badly.

I think you will find they are worth rather more than zip actually, particulary when it comes to cancelling them for reasons not stipulated in clear unambiguous words within said contract. Unless a player's contract contains specific performance related targets, then cancelling them without compensation is no easy matter.

We are all surmising that Radford could possibly be our next coach based on the HDM (Smailes) reporting Radford is favorite to take over, but then goes on to report that Pearson or any other club rep was unavailable for comment, good journolistic guesswork to stir the pot. Although I am quite concerned as to what will happen next season with regards to who our coach will be, especially with relegation looming, I just hope for the sake of the club Pearson is very careful who he takes his advice from.

Oh dear. Raiders! Oh deary me. Do we think Cooke would sign a contract? Getting rid of Gentle isn't the answer. It's going to be very interesting now to see who takes over. But Radders, Cooke and Last isn't the answer ! The problem is where do you ge a top experienced coach unless you can find one who's contract you can pay off and who's daft enough to come to us.

While I would give Radford my full support, I think this job is so big that it needs an experience head coach who has been there and won things...promoting another assistant is a gamble, and we barely have any throws of the dice left before a large part of the fan base gives up on the club.

Radford with Long as assistant were lined up to be caretaker coaches for rest of season if you'd lost CC semi. Can't see them getting the job full-time.

Could get Brian Smith in but he'd want a lot of money, more than Koucash at Salford was willing to pay.

For Hull, the blueprint is there to be seen at Warrington. You can have it all - players, ground, facilities etc but if you don't have the right coach it's all for nought.

Don't even be looking at Sir Tony though!

Karl Harrison with Long as assistant.

Long would bring great quality to your attacking play.He managed to get Salford playing really attractive rugby so with the young talent you have coming through it could work really well.Harrison is a no nonesense quality coach who would build on the excellent defence you have shown for the majority of this season.

Not if he speaks to Gentle first.
