Welcome to Hull Jacob. I am really looking forward to watching our half backs unlock defence's.

I prefer us with Pitts, whiting or Ellis at 13. If we go with this, which gentle as in recent matches I think we need another backrow.

We have 5 props for next, so I like one prop and a backrow forward.

Maybe a winger, but I'd be tempted to use Shaul as our back up winger, Arundel could also play there.

Not much recruiting to do of next season, which is a bonus.

I still think we need a big nasty impact prop to replace O'Meley.

on the cards from what i hear

Even with one of those at 13 though, we'd still have 4 frontline players when fully fit (I know that's seldom the case) plus Kent and Hadley backing up. When we have enough players fit Gentle seems to like a prop there to start with, too (Green or Johnson would be my pick), as well as us seeing Heremaia having a spell there recently.

For next year, we so far have 5 props and 6 backrowers, with it usually going to be 4 apiece in a 17, if not 5:3 in favour of props. Sheer numbers suggests to me that it's props we need more, especially given that the backrowers can generally play more minutes.

This is off the top of my head so it could well be wrong, but I think there is a different cut off date for the quarters, semis and final to the early rounds, so provided he gets a visa before the deadline (which knowing the RFL could be absolutely any time) he'll be able to play.

Of course I could just have made all that up and he's ineligible.

Very happy with this signing. Great experience and representation already. Hope he can finally turn out to the the 7 we've needed!

As for other signings, a prop to replace Ogre should be next priority. I think we will also need one back rower to replace Ticks and Galea, with Hadley/Kent filling the other space. Maybe another winger. 2-3 signings in off season, great to finally get some consistency!
