there is nothing to stop you buying south stand seats, the kc isn't segregated for rugby, you can purchase tickets for any stand you like

Covered seating at Warrington that's not in the "home" end, appears to be £26.50 in advance and £28 on the day, doesn't it?

Like i've said the North stand is the Premier stand at Warrington.

£26.50 North

£18.50 South/West

£21 East

So in summary, the nearest covered seating to the away end is £28 on the gate. Fecking hell, what a rip-off. No dedicated parking either. Thieving scousers.

AP has said he wants a full ground, youd think with some of the pathetic away followings last year they would make an effort. I'd not complain if it was £10 advance sales, £19 on the day, would encourage a few more over to us

To be honest it doesn't matter what the club charge the away fans will always moan about something as an excuse for not coming, even if we gave away free tickets. As for the insults regarding Hull and its people being part/comparing it to the developing world is hardly going to adhere us to the issue.

If were are honest I would say that both Hull clubs travel in large numbers to all the clubs but yet neither club see anything like the same number of travelling fans, particularly from clubs across the Pennines regardless of ticket prices.

The South stand has been discounted to encourage home fans attending/returning hence the £19. Why should away fans get this discount??

If I want to go to a game away from home I'll go and pay the price, simple.

I'll be honest i don't think it makes a difference wether a ticket £19 or £23 some people just dont come to away games and reducing it wont make make any difference.

The simple fact is most away fans dont want to travel for more than 1 hour.

because of the smc agreement ap cant heavily discount tickets beacuse it would cost the club so until then I'm more than happy to see any discount given to home fans rather than away.

Not really been following this thread, so sorry if I've missed it or I'm misunderstanding.

Could a Warrington fan (for example) arriving at the match without a ticket, pay as a walk-up in the discounted end?

It might lead to one full end and one rather empty, but is there anything to stop it?

I would imagine the the stewards would stop away fans going in the southstand.A big majority of the stand is made up of season pass holders anyway.

Hmmm indeed, I tend to find the ones that make comments like those are the ones that don't travel anyway.

Aren't they the fans you should be trying to encourage to come to the KC?
You get the fans that go to every game that haven't missed a game since the wife was in labour and still tried to get there etc and then you get the ones who will pick a choose depentant on cost/time? They are the ones clubs should be aiming to get in.

If it were home fans I'd agree which is why the south stand is discounted to £19 but away fans is a different matter.

No matter what we do as a club some fans will not travel to Hull no matter if both Hull & Rovers laid on a chauffeur driven limo, put out a red carpet and gave free tickets. They always have some reason or moan as the excuse but its up to them and personal choice. Just a shame both Hull & Rovers fans do travel to all the grounds in SL in good numbers no matter what but we are always slated on the City. ticket prices etc etc instead of being honest and saying I can't be d.

A discount is usually offered as some sort of one off event to attract fans. If you are charging the same £19 price all season then it is hardly a discounted stand as it is the regular matchday price. Fair play for reducing your prices for home fans, but I will hazard a guess that Hull will be the only ground where away fans will pay upto £6 more than home fans for a stand that offers the same view/facilities etc.

you'd better explain your discount theory to hull kr because they haven't adopted this theory for away fans either.

I find it rather amusing to read Leeds fans moaning. On another forum a Wire fan asked if Hull's North Stand tickets were the most expensive. I pointed out that at Headingley last year, once you'd paid £20 to get in the ground, it was a further £7 to sit in that new stand behind the posts. A Leeds fan corrected me by pointing out £7 was to sit in the corners, it's a £10 transfer to sit in the middle, again behind the posts. So, in summary, to sit in the new Leeds Carnegie stand, directly behind the posts, costs £30.
