He was employed on a 1 season contract so unless he was given a reason to believe it would be extended why would he be surprised at receiving written confirmation? Maybe he had a face-to-face meeting and just hasn't mentioned it? There are any number of possible scenarios not excluded by his tweet but everyone seems to have jumped to the worst one.

All good common sense decisions. We've seen the worse of Washy in the last 2 games. The incident against wire when he couldn't pass the ball to his outside and dropped it and that pathetic choice of kick last night when we had the 3 to 2 overlap at a crucial stage in the 1st half. Once again because he can't pass the ball to his outside. Good div 1 player.
