| Hope you're all right about his take on Agar. For me he mentioned several times that the reason we aren't top 4 is down to poor recruitment and playing ability. The coach was mentioned as an afterthought. Could've almost been quoting Rule's opinion.
Bit scary too was the answer to Hullbg's question re the advisor. It aint happening because there's enough rugby knowledge already within the club with "Jim and Richard". Ah. Ok then.
Hope I'm wrong and time will tell. One good thing he said was that his commitments to football and everything else stopped with Hull FC. Because that's where his money is. That can only be encouraging in the long term.

| All sounds very good stuff to me.
Cheaper passes, Mixture of games between Sunday and Friday (I WAS a fan of Friday rugby, but agree it may be time for a change back) better training facilities, negotiation of the SMC deal to allow us to do promo's for big games...
all we need is Agar gone. Hopefully a bit of chanting tonight will increase the speed of his departure.

Don't think it will make one iota of a difference TBH.
I've just watched the whole interview and for me the telling part regards Agar wasn't about AP's eye movement but what he said about recruitment for next season. Down to him and Rule, with a hurried afterthought of "er, and the coach".
I reckon Agar is gone at the end of the season regardless.

| I personally dont think Pearson has decided if he is keeping Agar or not tbh. If we have a bad run and dont make the play - offs he is a gonna. But if he say won 3 of his four games and maybe won a play off game I think Agar will keep his job.

I agree, and it was the most 'open' question and answer session from the club in years...despite the questions being pre-selected!
I didn't tick one box on my 'Rule Cliche Bingo' card!

| The KC pitch has "X" number of games on it a year for football and rugby with some room for other matches like the internationals. My understanding of the rules are that FC or City have the right of veto as the major users with sporting events. Other events have to be orgainsed around the major users and play off games are included in the arrangements.
The council cup was held there when it was first opened, but I think it was moved out on cost grounds. Any use of the ground has to be on a commercail basis and Mr Allam can not just let anyone use it, unless he is paying of course.

| After watching it all the way through now, I just find it refreshing to have a bit more openness and less flannel from those running the club, it makes you feel closer to the club again. Stuff like:
- Pearson spoke about O'Meley being a great asset when in good condition and playing well, in such a way as to admit that he's not at the moment.
- Didn't hide behind the decreasing crowds across the sport, acknowledged that we specifically are down a noticeable amount, so it's not just about the economic situation.
It's just nice for the fans to be treated with a bit of respect again, rather than spouting drivel and expecting us to be too stupid to know any better than just swallowing it. Although Rule at one point did still do that IMO. When there was the question about us not bringing young players through this year, he flanneled a bit. His point about Agar seeing the importance of developing players and other coaches not being as willing to give up so much cap space for youngsters started ok, but to then use Crooks & Green as examples is a bit strange IMO, as as I understand it, they wouldn't take up any seeing as they don't have a single SL appearance between them?
A couple of other things I thought were interesting were 'Jim and I need to findsome room in the budget' for recruitment for next year, which sounds like some contracted players could be told to look elsewhere, and different matchday pricing. Could that mean cheaper tickets for the less popular games (i.e. Harlequins)?

I don't think anyone really believed he wasn't. Some threw a strop, but some of us would just be prepared to take the collateral damage of him leaving if it meant the end of Agar. Hopefully we won't have to though.

| We'll put our money where our mouth is regarding possible transfer fee's if we find the right player to improve us.
I feel very positive after watching it and if Agar can get the boot and we do get a top coach, I think the season tickets are going to take off for sure.

| So far I haven't heard anything to change my mind that Agar is here until the end of the season at which point it will be "thanks for your efforts but we need to freshen things up". Very positive about having Pearson on board and have an inkling someone like Daniel Anderson will be coming in.

| Great interview and Pearson really does sound like he means business. Thankfully, all of the patronising spin seems to have gone and we get AP talking sense and, more importantly, talking to us like adults.
"We will see that he means business by October/November"
"Our recruitment hasn't been good enough and our squad isn't good enough"
"He isn't going to be working with attendances that are around 10k-12k"
Very very promising and like Kosh, I feel much more positive than I have for a long time.

Not sure either way but I feel for Rule a bit. Bit of a shock having worked for the old board for 4 years, content to plod along and suddenly being on the hook for 16k crowds, squad restructure, silverware and new facilities.
