I was meaning over the course of the season as a whole. As far as I understand it, the first half of the season is divided up fairly evenly, then Sky select what games they're going to show in the second half based on which ties they think will attract the most viewers. Usually, the ties that will attract the most viewers are those involving higher placed teams where something (minor premiership, play off position) is at stake.

We are performing good enough for top 8, Wakey aside. I'd be worried if it didn't include the pre season top 4 ambitions. As it is its run of the mill and I seriously don't think he could say anything else. People need to look at the parts where he's actually quoted.

As I said earlier, he specifically says "at the moment". If "at the moment" means the last two or three games, it's hard to argue that we're not playing like a top 8 side. Whether or not we should be happy to be playing like a top 8 (as opposed to, say, top 4) side, is open to debate.

Given the season ambition was to be top 4 I would hope he's not happy, he did say its starting to come together. Maybe he hopes to be playing like a top 4 team soon? As worrying as that sounds.

I have no issue with what he ha said. We are playing good enough for the top 8. The target was top four though so we need to improve.

I think the absolute minimum target is 6th, anything less if failure imo unless we win 2/3 playoff games.
